Brad , when you make the move , you'll have a better feeling of how things stand then .If the winters are harsh back there maybe you can have your mom and if so your brother move on out to Texas where you can still all be together .

Thank you sweetie!
When will you make the move?

XOXO

So often in these situations one family member gets bent out of shape when another wants out of a situation which is bad for them. You seem to have everyone's blessing to move so you should really go for it. Time is passing, go where you're comfortable and will truly enjoy life. You can still visit KC in the summer!

Thanks Danny, but ma has lived here since the early 1940's and with her health problems and all,it's not a good idea to try to move her.I tried to get her to move to Texas when dad died in 1982 and she would not do it.She is as happy as anyone can be about living in a nursing home, they take good care of her and it's better then most i have seen by far.

Ok then, I get it. Plans are in the making it sounds like.
You'll figure it out!

Unit, another one from my newbie days who as always been so good to me.Thanks for your response my friend.

Everyone's pretty much agreed this point to death, but why let that stop me from chiming in?? :blaugh:

You're 51 years old--you're life is turning a new corner. If you want to turn that corner in Texas, I suggest you do it before you become further entrenched. I know how it feels to live somewhere you hate. I wasn't able to move out of state so I moved to the west side of town. My entire family lives on the east side. Every time there is a family event, me and the kids have to go east. They bellyache about my living on the west side and how they'd never do such a thing. When I bought my two-family, they bellyached about that and said "how can you have someone living over your head."

Bugman, someone's always going to find your actions or intentions wrong by their so-called standards. At least your brother's in support of you. Man, pack your bags and get back to Texas. One thing I know, those Texans sure know how to party!!! :wavingguy

Thanks kis,the support is appreciated. And you are right, the longer a stay here the harder it's going to be. :imouttahe

Well I was away and didnt get a chance to read this, but was requested to respond. I am pretty much in agreement with everyone else here. Bug hon....you have been there for your mom. Its not like your leaving her in her house with no one to take care of her. If you have your family's blessing, and you know she is happy, then do what your heart desires. Things will fall into place and you will be fine. Please don't feel guilty. Your mom would want you to be happy. I think you have your answer. Maybe you can search online in the want ads for the area you would like to move to. Get some kind of idea on the job market. Look into transferring with the company your with. The more you prepare the smoother the move.

Thanks for you input and support Laura,it's much appreciated.:twohugs:
