I grew up when Warner Bros. and Hanna-Barbara ruled the television landscape cartoon wise. Foghorn Leghorn was part of the Looney Tunes lineup, released by Warner Bros. Only 28 cartoons featuring Foghorn were produced.

Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner, also part of the Looney Tunes family.

Wile E. Coyote was mine, hands down. But all of Looney Tunes has a place in my heart. It was one of the first pieces of America my dad introduced me to, and he acted and sounded like Yosimite Sam and Foghorn Leghorn around me often, to the point where it was part of his character and personality. I think of him whenever I see Looney Tunes, but with those characters especially.

Oh and Marvin Martian. He stands out a bit from the rest too. But not as much as Wile E.

😀...too many more to name. But I LOVED these cartoons when I was a kid!

It sounds like your dad was a good man. 🙂

Another favorite of mine, the Tasmanian Devil.

The Looney tunes were my absolute favorite. Although I enjoyed Woody Wood Pecker, Super friends and Speed buggy! Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch was another good one. As well as Grape Ape and Hong Kong Phooey. I could go on and on. So many I can't count.

Just a few, off the top of my head...

He-manChangelong1.gif

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

Scooby-Doo

My favorite Looney Toons character was Speedy Gonzales, even though he is generally no longer seen, due to the fact that he is generally viewed as a racial stereotype.

Sylvester the cat ( I hated Tweetie Pie)
Tom and Jerry . I especially loved the one where he used Spikes snarling teeth to fashion a baseball bat out of a plank and then smacked him over the head with it
The Flintstones

Daphne from Scooby Doo. I used to watch episodes praying that it will be one where she gets tied up 🙂 . Ever notice that they only tied up Daphne. She was always the Damsel in distress.

Popeye. 😀 Popeye was around long before most people had even heard of television. In 1933 Fleischer Studios released an animated short that was shown in movie theaters. Billed as a Betty Boop short, the real star was Popeye in his first animated appearance.

I can't choose just one- Dexter, Scooby Doo, Johnny Bravo, Tom & Jerry, Flinstones, Looney Tunes... and I still watch them, mind you 😀

Again, like others have mentioned...too many to pick just one, but here are a few:

Does anyone know a channel that actually shows any of these old cartoons? The Cartoon Network sucks.

Cartoon Network really sucks. In Bulgaria we have a channel called Boomerang, where they show all of the older cartoon classics. 🙂

My very first favourite was Thundarr the Barbarian with his trusty friends Ariel and Ooglah!

Soundwave from the Transformers cartoon. Megatron coming a close second.

And, of course, my ALL time favourite: The Joker from the Batman animated series.

Yeah, I have heard of Boomerang, but I don't think it is available with my cable package. I get over 100 other channels though that I could give two shits about. :ranty:
