Actually, that would be funny. He has an interview with Leno tonight. I kinda hope Leno pulls something like that during his interview. I'm sure alot of people would think it was funny.

Let me put it another way then. Lets go back a few years to the acadamy awards, and Denzel Washington winning Best Actor for Training Day. Now we can all agree that Mr. Washington is an amazing actor, gifted to no end, but it was pretty clear that the Acadamy should have given the award to Rusell Crowe for a Beautiful Mind. If somebody, anybody, had interupted Denzel's speach an said it should have gone to Crowe, and made some racial/political remark they would be fried in the media as biggots and/or racist. What KW did was low brow, low rent, and disrespectful to a young recording artist who was trying to enjoy her moment. What would have been interesting is if he had done this to somebody male for a chainge like may some big dude from a rock or metal band, just to see how they could throw him. All he's done so far is pick fights with Swift and Britney Spears... wow what a tough guy.
I've also heard even the President of the United States called him a jack ass for his comments.
I think you're comparing apples with hand grenades Myst. What does anyone's RACE have to do with any of this? I'm not buying it~If Eminem had pulled something this moronic, no one would let him off the hook either.
And for the record, the VMAs are voted on by the fans, while Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences votes in the winners for the Oscars, not the viewers. Like most organizations, the Academy is extremely political. Denzel is widely regarded as a gracious gentleman, while, despite his monster talent, Russell Crowe (like Kanye) is widely regarded as an asshole--the Academy HATES him and he hates them back. That's why he didn't win.
You can paint it any color you like but bad behavior is still bad behavior.
XOXO
The race angle I DO see it from is that if some white person had done that to Kanye, then it would've been widely spread as racist. So, what Kanye did is dubbed to some as racist. Especially what could be based upon his statement during Katrina relief.
I guess I see that. I dunno~I have so many black friends but they're all people who think mostly like I do. Maybe I take it for granted. Yanno what my first thought was when I saw the Kanye stunt? I thought "rude." It never occurred to me to think "racist."
XOXO
I hear ya. For some it did though. And I think if the roles were reversed, some black folks would be saying the same thing.
Meh.
I think the only good thing about it, is that it's going to bring some hysterical meme's out. 😀
On the other more amusing hand... 😀
President Obama calls Kanye a Jackass.
LMAO!
Now~do you think the rules change at all if he'd pulled that crap on Rihanna? I know it wouldn't have been any different for me. Like I said, rude's just rude...
XOXO

I think the insults might more or less be the same, but the racism factor would be tossed.
No one can point to a single example of what he did that was so racist, other than the fact the he's black and she's not.
This is the reason right here why folks are calling it racism.
-- And if the roles were reversed, this would be the only example black folks would have to go on and the white person would be dubbed scum also.
The only time the scumbag was right was when he said George Bush didn't care about black people. Because I'm pretty sure that's true.
