Any guys get pedicures?

You're kidding, right?

Are there honestly grown men here who's manhood would be threatened by having someone groom their feet? And care about others looking at them funny? Really?

I see guys get their feet done all the time at the salon where I have my pedicures done, mostly in the summer; they sit there and watch tv or read a book or use a laptop while it's being done. And before anyone brings it up, based on the ladies they come in and later leave with I doubt they're gay; chances are they know it's 2010 not 1942, they just want nice non-crusty feet for the summer, and don't give a damn what some insecure dude might whisper about them 🙂 As for saving the $ and just doing it yourself, I rarely see a guy flexible and patient enough to really get his cuticles and heels the way the salon workers can.

I'm not advocatinng ukept feet. Mine are kept in immaculate condition...despite being ugly as satan's butt. I'm not alluding that getting pedicures is for gay men either. I have numerous gay friends and none of them would get a pedicure. I for one, I like the differences in the cultures of the sexes. I like doing guy things....and I LOVE a girl that can do the girl things. Blurring those lines leaves both parties feeling odd. No more knight in shining armor, but a princess in birkenstocks

In my field(military) those that you lead look up to you. Pedicured feet on a guy during a recession shows a mismanagement of priorities. No guy is going to look at another man's pedicured foot and think he's a leader. Women aren't turned on by a guy that visits the nail salon. Women respond to men....despite what they might tell their platonic guy friends while they sit next to her getting "mani pedi's". That's simply not how it works. I've told women i've dated I want them to get a pedicure. I've never heard a woman say the same about me. Or even say it as something they'd like. I've gotten the, "get your 5 o'clock shadow off of me!" though.

I heard about the shops that cater to men. That's different. Get your feet fixed while you drink beer and watch football and talk about women. Ok. Men don't belong in the salons though. It's the female domain to get away from us. Just as I don't want women hanging out at the barber shop.

Fellas, it's ok to be a man. By all means get your pedicure if it will make you happy. But it's ok to not get one and use the money to buy guns and ammunition.

Manicures are different though. If I were in the corporate world i'd get one seeing as your success and ability to be successful is heavily tied to how people percieve you. You appear, therefore you are.

I, for one, love a man who keeps his feet presentable. One of the most unsexy things in the world is to be lying in bed next to a guy and get a brush burn from his feet or a gash from his toenail. Whether he gets it done at the salon, at home, or at The Man-Man's Den of Beer and Bitches is irrelevant.

I think you should leave talking about what turns women on to the women. Just sayin 😉

Thanks for all the responses. Actually, I keep excellent care of my feet. I was curious to know if I was missing out on a good thing by not having tried it before.

I have had them done. I take my daughter too and she is fun to watch. I talked with the pro we visit and she explained that more and more men are treating themselves to pedicures not only for the feel good part but as a regular maintanence program. She works in a health spa and many named professional atheletes are her customers. And it does make sense if you think about it. These guys need healthy feet with no pain or soreness to make their millions of bucks a season.

I used to get finger manicures when I was younger. I've never had a pedicure, and don't plan to.

I'm not saying nasty feet are cool for guys. Simply to stay away from salons because the cost FAR out weighs the benefits.

As for what turns women on...hmmm. Women know what turns themsleves on, personally. But unless a woman is a lesbian...she really doesn't know what turns other woman on because she's likely never performed the task. :Kiss2: Especially on numerous women.

I however learned that what women say turns them on and what actually physically turns them on are two different things. I can assure you that none of the women i've been with would be aroused by my man feet being pedicured. Being seen in the pic above(that model in the photo could be my twin) would be highly unattractive to the very feminine women I date. "I met this handsome, tall, dark. buff military guy, but he had to leave early to get his toes done before work". Not sexy. "He had to run to get his workout in before work". Sexy.

But I agree. A man with gnarly feet is Not sexy. He's worse off than the guy that uses the foam space thingy's when he's getting his toes done. But not by much! Lol.

GQ. Pleased to meet you.

I take great care of my feet. On a daily basis even and yes at times I will get them professionally pedicured. Not too often as I can self maintain them quite nicely.

There is nothing wrong with a guy taking care of his feet. I do get them done professionly in the summer since I wear flip flops. Most of the year I just take care of them with over the conter stuff. But if I am going to expose my feet in public and to keep them soft for my wife I maintain them. There is nothing unmasculine about it. If it feels good then don't worry about it.

I'm not even a foot person but I can appreciate someone that takes care of his feet, just like with any body part. Healthy feet are happy feet.

So enjoy a pedicure! I find them so relaxing.

Hot. 😛

I agree though. So much stress is put on a girl sometimes on how her feet should look and feel and hell, what color polish is best. It would be nice to know that a guy likes to take care of himself as well. At least a little bit.

Actually I do get regular pedicures and manicures. I long learned that if I like and thus expect a girl to have nice nails on their hands and feet then there's no reason to not keep nice, clean, and pampered nails myself. Plus, I like how my hands and feet look and feel when given the proper treatment. I tend to go once a month if I'm not attending any gatherings or munches and if I plan on going to one I get my hands and feet done the day before the encounter...if I were a female 'lee I wouldn't want gross and unsightly hands touching me, just like most foot fetishists wouldn't want to pay much attention to crusty heels and chipped toenails. It just makes sense to do it since I don't see it as being solely a female thing...a pedicure and manicure at regular intervals doesn't just look and feel good, they keep our extremities healthy too.

I'm not a metrosexual or anything like that, so no... I've never had a pedicure LOL. However, I do think its important to look after yourself, practise good hygiene of course and keep them presentable 😛 I wear sandles and I've never had an "EWW" comment yet, haha

Even if i needed it, i wouldnt be seen in public getting a pedicure. thats unmanly to me. id do my own footcare if i had to. :cool2:

As I was re reading this thread, it got me to thinking: There would be only one way that I might, and I emphasize, might, get a pedicure.

If I was dating, or married to, a girl, who asked me to get a pedicure, knowing how open minded I usually am about sex, and such matters, I probably would do it for her. I'm especially thinking of a scenario of what would be, if, for example, she didn't particularly like to be tickled, have her feet worshipped, or stand barefoot on a ladder, but she did all those things, to make me happy. How, in such a case, could I say no, to a relatively "reasonable" request for a pedicure. I dont know that I'd want to do it on a regular basis, but if someone I loved and cared for wanted me to, I'm sure I would.

Ha! i bet most women would laugh and snicker if they saw a man getting a pedicure. i however am a manly man! a bad ass. a warrior. :shock2:

No, on the contrary, women love men getting pedicures. I get some of my buisness from women who book their boyfriends or husbands with me. Although, men are such girly sisys next to my female clients..

Your probably right actually. i think times are changing. women are going for the metrosexual type of guys now.

I've been a few times and really enjoyed it after the initial embarrassment of not being to hold still and laughing. If you're lucky you may get one who gives a really good foot massage afterward. Plus they know how to trim nails
better than I do. At home I use over the counter products at least weekly to keep them smooth because I hate the feeling when they're rough.

No, I only get a few metrosexuals. Its mostly manly men, who do it at their wifes or girlfriends request.
I get them in the chair and make them cry like the babies they are...lol

When you get right down to it, allowing other people's opinions to dictate your behavior is pretty much the antithesis of manliness.

I've gone on double dates before where we took our boyfriends to get pedicures. And it's funny because the boys are more ticklish than us maybe because we're used to it so it was more of a shock to them to get their feet scrubbed. It was really fun to watch their reactions. But my boyfriend said we're not allowed to tell his dad! Haha!

I've gotten pedicures because I get a lot of compliments on my feet and I like them to look nice for the ladies to look at and admire. In fact, I got a 10% off the first time i went in because the nail tech said I had pretty feet for a guy. It's so relaxing, although it does tickle much to the amusement of my pedicurist lol!
