Anyone Gonna get ps3 or wii?

Just curious. I know the forum is mostly made up of older members. Was hoping to see if there were other gamers. (bring it up because Im pre-ordering from toys-r-us on sunday)

For the price of a PS3 (which will be like 500 or 600 I think) I could get a another desktop or even a laptop. Just not worth the price. If were about 130-200 I would consider it. 😀

I am happy with my 360 the graphics and that are ridiculously good on my TV and the sound system I got it hooked up to..................its like your there on the field .

The only thing I miss about not having a Playstation is the Raw v Smackdown down games

I consider myself a hardcore gamer. I own both the PS2 and Xbox and have a number of games to go with them, but I agree with most on here about the price. It's just way to expensive even if I have the money. So I would have to say I am going to wait until the price drops which is sad because there are several games I would like to play on the new generation consoles.

My fiance and I just got an Xbox 360. The PS3 has gone far and beyond any sense of reason when it comes to its price. $600 goddamn dollars? Are they out of their freakin' minds? Do you know how much shit I could get for $600? And it doesn't even come with a GAME, for Christ's Sake.

The Wii I am waiting for them to iron out any bugs they can. So I'll probably get it six months after release. Sometimes Nintendo has its overheating problems, so I'll get it then and when (hopefully) the price drops a bit.

As of right now, I am addicted to Condemned: Criminal Origins and Enchanted Arms.

PC games are nice and all, usually for MMORPGs, but they'll never beat out console games, in my opinion. Some console games anyway. If I had to choose between them, I'd take a console any day.

Wii has a lot better games at launch, and a better price. I can't tell if the games will stay on par with the PS3, since I am mainly into RPG's, and that's usually Sony's domain.

But we'll see how things go. I probably won't get either for a while after they're both launched.

until resident evil 5 comes out, im not even going to worry about it. the PS3 is so overpriced and they are already months behind the Xbox 360, i think sony has made a major miscalculation. i just dont see many gamers or families of gamers in this economy plunking down 500-600 dollars for a console system. sony is going to have to drop the price way down if they want to remain competitive within the marketplace.........

I have the same opinion as all of you, the PS3 is WAY too expensive, but honest truth it is by far the most powerful of them all, in both overall quality of the games and graphic detail, some games just almost touch reality!
As for me personally i won't be able to get it when it comes out, probably not even in two years.
I think I'll just stick with my PS2 for the near future...

awesome.....360 is cool as hell.....my bro's got one.....I myself think I'm gonna do the old routine once i see prices drop and buy one so i can play morrowind again lol........Wii I'm totally down for.....reminds me of better gaming days......was always a nintendo youth, that's proven..........PS3, or any playstation, will always be a fart in the wind in my opinion....

I think eventually those of us who are loyal to Soney wiil. I didn't get the PS1, but the PS2 is great. Probably when Total None Stop Action Wrestling gets Play Station Game out I will pick up the PS3

They released a statement saying that Europeans have no problem with Sony software and hardware being released months after it's released everywhere else in the world. How the f@#k do they figure that? Why would anyone be happy waiting that long?

And as a final kick in the nuts, they closed down the online store Lik-Sang, because they sold sony stuff from asia to europeans. Their excuse was that the asian stuff wasn't safe for europeans to use! 😕 Lik-Sang retorted on their site by listed all the sony Europe execs who have bought stuff from Lik-Sang!

Yeah, that was pretty low. I don't think Sony has any idea how horrible they're doing at the moment. Between things like the Lik-Sang incident, and the high cost of PS3's, there's not too much love for Sony these days.

I suppose my nephew would like a Wii for christmas. I might chip in with a few family members to buy it and some games if it's feasable.

Fuck the PS3. I read that the head of Sony actually complained that it was too cheap!!!

I'll probably get a PS3 when the price comes down for it. The new nintendo console looks good but i went off nintendo after the N64 some great games but overall the focus always seems to be on the younger gamer with Nintendo...
