Not that I disagree (and yes, you are beating a dead horse) but some people, male an female alike, use the chatroom for some quick cyber thrills. The name "TKLJailbaitGrl" certainly projects that attitude. I'm not sure a more neutral name would have yielded such overwhelming extremes, even if there were a fair few. Just something to keep in mind with such an experiment...

Ahh... LD has a point about your name... there are some screen names that do make the person soundlike they want some tickling acton and welcome it so they're going to get creeps to randomly pm them and ask them tickling questions right away.
 
That's definitely true (and it appears on the TMF that men and women can be equally bad, or good, at starting conversations in the chat room), but I don't think it's a pressing problem as long as ignoring and blocking are readily available options. Maybe if those options were exercised more widely, people would be spurred to improve their approaching skills.

Did you ever actually read this? The Reconstruction was from 1865-1877. Black Like Me was written in 1961, and often mentions the author hitchhiking and travelling around on Greyhound Buses.

However, your chatroom presence as a woman amused me, and reminded me of an article I read in the National Lampoon in the '70s, about a man who disguises himself as a women to investigate 'Male Oppression'. you know what is interesting in the south text books claim reconstruction all the way up until the 1960s due to the reorder of the social class. now here is the overall point, that even in chat room for an adult site people are still to be treated as people. take time to see who a person is instead of making them your personal fantasy. people may come here for the "cheap thrills" and thats fine but not everyone does. in fact most come to just to find acceptance in their kink and to find good people to talk to... be a lady and be a gentleman after all if we here do take interest in each other then when and where can you find it
 
oh and about the name that is a good point, but you should never judge someone based off of a name cause really what is in a name.

Look, you're preaching to the choir. The only people who are even going to read your message, let alone agree with it or take it to heart, are the people who already agree with you and understand why treating people that way is a bad idea. The stupid fucks who need this 'help' the most... aren't. They're too busy PMing people with female names "show me ur feetz" in the chatroom.

And... yes. People do it for two reasons. One, they're idiots and/or creepy sociopaths who don't understand the rules of human interaction. Two, it works. Based on my own experiences, I'm inclined to say it's a little of both.
 
Ok i have a question, when does not wanting to send pictures of your feet to some random person that u've literally met like 2 mins ago mean that your not who you say you are? I mean yeah i have pictures of myself up on my profile but those are the pictures that I want to put up. Its like "WELL, since you arent going to send me any pictures of your feet/whatever else then i guess you arent real and are just a guy pretending." A few people that I have talked to on chat had the idea that in order for me to really be a girl i have to take a picture infront of a mirror with a sign saying "hello (insert name here) I love tmf" and send it to them. Again, i know i shouldnt really be talking since i have like 20 pictures of myself on my profile but PLEASE stop asking for pictures or phone calls or video chats to make sure someone is who they say they are.
 
The chat room has always been and will always be the same, as will the people that frequent it. The block feature is there for a reason and it should be used.

Nothing said in this thread (or the many that came before it on the same topic) will ever make a difference in what happens in the chat rooms of the internet.

Pretending to be someone you are not does nothing to help the situation...

People just need to realize that they're just talking to people on total faith that they are who they are. Anyone can find photos and call them their own and a real phone call or those kinda identification requests are the only really way to know for sure. However, that's way beyond what is proper to be asking someone. I personally just assume anyone can be whoever they say they are and that's just something you must deal with on the internet. Even people I've talked to for many many months or even years I just take it on faith.
 
For me it has honestly gotten to the point that unless I have seen them around a lot, I assume all women on here are actually men. That's not fair I know, but it has just happened so often that it is just borderline ridiculous at this point. Combine that with the fact I also do the whole online dating site thing and was bailed on tonight by what I suspect to be a guy posing as a girl and I have come to the point that I don't think I'll ever get to tickle anyone and I am seriously just considering leaving the site. I try and be respectful of everyone, always try and be friends first and look for tickle partners second, and because of a couple weirdos, that is not really possible I feel.

The only thing I can say in our defense is a lot of us get to deal with fakes on a daily basis. The first time you just feel shocked and a little bit sick because you can't comprehend it, the second time you start making all kinds of rules for yourself so you don't get burned again, and by the third time you kinda get sick of even asking nicely for it and just bluntly come out and say "I want pictures or some proof that your real otherwise I call bullshit." Is it fair to you? Absolutely not, but it's a very hard situation to deal with on our part.

Sort of funny you mention the assuming all girls are guys because I do the same thing - that is until I've actually met them IN PERSON at a gathering.

It seems guys get tired of waiting for girls, so some make female accounts to get talk/cyber action anyway...but it probably wouldn't have come to that if more guys were respectful in the first place. Perpetual cycle, and it sucks.

So indeed, perhaps a gathering is in your future? That's a guaranteed way to meet the real deal. 🙂
 
Speaking for myself, I just ignore the ones that start out with a real forward question. If someone says, "Hi, my name is __. Can we chat?" I might chat.
If someone says, "Hello, I was wondering if you are m or f, and if you would be interested in ____. If not thanks for your time." On the latter, I would probably wish them well.
If someone messages me and it says: "ASL" "Are you horny?" "Does tickling make you horny?" "I'm 12 1/2 inches long. Wanna see?" "Let me see you on webcam. I'm already naked."
