I think some people who are new to the forum and don't know any better usually think it's a place to talk tickling. That is not true after looking around and getting to know the forum.

But still there is no sign on the front or when you sign up that say THIS FORUM IS NOT JUST ABOUT TICKLING.

I believe it's up to us as members to show people it's not. When I first joined I thought that's what I thought. Until i got a very rude response or two. But once I started talking to some people I figured out for myself it's not.

Yes there are some weirdos, but I think some people are generally just confused.

There's a huge difference between talking tickling with friends -- which is perfectly acceptable, often practiced, and very much enjoyed -- and saying to every member of the preferred sex, "O hai! Where are you ticklish? Can we cyber? WHAT?!? You don't want me to cyber chain you to my e-bed so we can have an awesome virtual tickling session? What do you mean you like books? Movies? What is all this!? Where's the tickles? I want to cootchie-coo your ass RIGHT NOW DAMMIT!!"
 
Don't have any friends in my personal life that know about my fetish. I come on here to let out some "tickling steam" held inside.

Videos are nice once in a while but nothing beats real life.

Negativity, there will always be drama wherever you go. That is what makes the world go around and around.

I also come on here to make friends who share the same fetish as i do. If i'm not telling my current friends, what better thing than to make new ones.

That's all fine and dandy. But if you didn't know about this forum and didn't know how it was and just ran up on it. Would you know exactly what it was about. I know my crystal ball broke. So I can't tell everything about anything.

I'm just saying some people may not know. When you say the tickling media forum. People sometimes get the wrong idea. Same goes for people who have never been to nest. They have to see it to understand. Or do you expect for them to know what that is about right off the bat?

Originally I came here mainly for the stories, but as I became more active, the more of the forum that I saw. With more of the forum that I saw, the more people I interacted with. The more people I interacted with, more friends I made. Over time it's become less about coming here for the fetish and more about coming here for the friends and the people I interact with. 😀

I spend more time in the general area than anywhere else, but I'll occasionally venture away from the general area and look at some of the artwork, stories, and vid clips. If it weren't for the friends I've made here, I wouldn't visit as often as I do. :grouphug:

You raise a good point. I think some of us who have been here for a while become jaded/cynical about some TK threads, especially the ones that have been done to death. There does seem to be a system of etiquette here, and some people learn it sooner than others.

Of course not. I expect that here, or at a gathering, as in any social situation, people would take the time to try to notice the dynamic and integrate themselves accordingly. Basic social skills, my friend.
 
At times, I wouldn't say I come here necessarily FOR my fetish, but more for the connection with others who have it. Sometimes, I wonder if I'd feel the same about ANY message board, though I'm most comfortable with, and enjoy talking with the people here. I don't spend the majority of my time in tickling discussion, though I'll go there when there's nothing that piques my interest in general discussion. I don't really get caught up in the "drama", because I honestly don't have the passion or the attention-span to read long-winded hater posts. If a thread is degrading into that, I find myself skimming through for topic-centered material. If I can't find any, I'll click back to the index to look for something else, or go to the chat. That stuff just isn't fun for me. If you've seen one controversial post, you've seen 'em all.
 
I was never a big clip or pic person, so I mainly stick to general discussion and tk discussion. I'm starting to dive more into the stories section, so I would say yes I come here for the fetish stuff. I try to stay out of the drama, and if I see a flare thread I usually don't respond.
 
I do still come here for tickling stuff...

Well to me that's a little tricky to address. You can make a lot of friends ANYWHERE online, but it's certainly nice to meet them here where everyone knows my interest and is not only cool with it, but they share it to some degree as well. It's hard to find levels of acceptance like that elsewhere. So I don't come to view the tickling images nor clips, but at the same time I'm not sure I would have ever signed up for this particular forum had it not held my fetish.
 
I still come now and then....Let's face it, if your really a ticklephile...it just doesn't go away. I do feel disconnected from the group. The forum has changed and some of us could not stay in the mainstream. I would still like to find a local few to hang with but I admit that this is not easy. When I do come here I mostly catch up with the "news" and look around a bit. I always look at the gatherings pages!
