I think you should talk for yourself only as you dont exactly know what goes through everyone else's mind. I am not so sure there are more people on here who enjoy their fetish than who suffer from it.
I can't believe I'm feeding the troll, but...
I've been an active member of the west-coast gathering scene for a couple of years now. I've met dozens of people of both genders, including couples, none of whom were anything but perfectly happy to have a tickle fetish. I've certainly never met anyone who "suffered" under the yoke of its oppression as you seem to think we do.
Furthermore, none of the people without an actual fetish for tickling that I've presented the idea of tickle play to has ever been anything but enthusiastic to try it. I've "converted" nearly every girlfriend I've ever had, and played with many more friends.
Now, if
all of those people are somehow in denial, then maybe you're on to something. Somehow, though, I think the simpler solution is that you've no idea what you're on about.
Yes, there are some people who do indeed suffer. You're the poster child. There are many others in this community who also exhibit, shall we say, less than socially-acceptable behavior in their pursuit of said fetish. To put it politely. Neither you, nor I, can say how many of each group exists here, but somehow I doubt that you've spoken to "thousands" of people on the topic.
However, it is not having a fetish that causes this behavior, or this suffering. It is how you feel about having a fetish, and - more importantly -
how you choose to present that fetish to others that is the problem. The foot fetishist who tickles his girlfriend's feet and browses foot porn online is not some sick freak in denial. The nutjob who gets arrested for knocking women down and sniffing their shoes, on the other hand, is - because it's he who complains that people hate him "just for liking feet". "It's only tickling"... how often have we heard that one from someone here who can't keep his hands to himself seeking justification for his behavior?
Anyway, I'm going to reiterate what others have already said - therapy. You say therapy for this sort of thing doesn't exist? Personal experience of both myself and others here says otherwise. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. And, good luck if you think you're going to convert anyone to your way of thinking around here. Personal experience
also says that Hell will freeze over long before
that happens.
