it means being obsessed with it, thinking about it most of the time, spending hours and hours each day watching tickling clips, reading tickling stories and having tickling chats. It means having it hard finding or keeping a partner because you have this fetish which sooner or later will come up if they see what you do online. It means missing on beautiful things in life because you have this fetish and wasting time with it.

Honestly....I don't think I have ever talked to anybody who had a problem like that. Everybody I have ever talked to leads a normal life. They just happen to get turned on by tickling. Apart from that, their sex drive seems perfectly normal to me.

I truly dont believe that tying up a person and getting aroused tickle torturing him/her is a healthy, normal sexual behaviour.

You know, "normal" means that the great majority of the population does something. Therefore I agree - it certainly is not normal. But how is it unhealthy?

Every time I log on here you are here too, how many hours a day do you spend on the TMF?

how many hours a day do you spend on the TMF?

Depends on how bored I am and how interesting the threads are. Today was a holiday, nothing going on, I was online anyways. But on a regular day, I spend about 15 minutes here to check on the discussions, if that long. If I am not writing anything, maybe two minutes.

I suggest those people who enjoy tickling or any other non-mainstream practice find other people who enjoy it and engage in it with them, while ignoring those whom we don't know, will never meet, and who expend too much time judging others by their own standards.

This thread is getting nowhere, has descended to the level of a children's playground argument, is monumentally boring and deserves locking.

So why do you even come here?

So every day anyway huh? Do you know that for some people who have a tickling fetish tickling becomes their life? It conditions and influences everything they do. Also, do you tell your family, all your friends you are into tickling? your co-workers maybe? if you think tickling is that normal you should. Or are you maybe embarassed because deep down inside you KNOW it is not normal and it is just a weird fetish most people would not understand?

So every day anyway huh?

So? I also go on another forum, Allmystery, every day to check the discussions I am participating in. I check my E-mail every day. I go on Facebook every day. The thing is - if I don't have internet, it's not a big deal and it doesn't bother me if I can't do it. That is where addiction separates from interest.

Also, do you tell your family, all your friends you are into tickling?

My mother knows. The friends who I talk to about sex know. You know what? They all don't really care and don't think less of me because of it. They have their things that float their boats, and I have mine. No biggie.

your co-workers maybe? if you think tickling is that normal you should.

Uhm...no. I really do not tell my co-workers what I'm into sexually. I also don't tell them what's my favorite position or how often I have sex or when I lost my virginity. Because it is none of their business. It has to do with privacy, not if tickling is normal or not.

Plus - read what I write! I agreed with you that being turned on by tickling is not normal. I just said it is not unhealthy. The extent to which you are talking about it is, but I don't think there are all that many people who are in that state of mind. Sounds like kind of a sex addiction to me, which, by the way, comes without tickling as well.

Alleluiah, that is what I have been trying to say from the start. What is not normal is often not healthy either (my opinion).

The addiction here is called tickling.

Well then, give a good reason for your opinion. I mean, yeah, if someone can just think about tickling and does nothing else and needs it to be happy, I agree, that's a problem. I just diagree with you that the majority of people on this forum have this problem. In the contrary, I believe that you belong to a tiny minority.

Just because something is not normal doesn't mean it's not healthy. Following that logic you are saying that homosexuals are unhealthy - or, let's make it sound harder: sick!

I am talking about a weird fetish such as tickling. I totally respect homosexuals and dont consider them not normal at all, that is totally another kind of subject, and it is sad you bring it up here and try to compare because it has nothing to do with having a tickling fetish as being homosexual does not mean having a fetish.

Anyway you think I belong to a tiny minority, on the contrary I disagree with that as I think many people are just in denial and want to keep feeding their fetish even if deep down inside they know it's not right.

So, you have your opinion, I have mine. Thanks for the replys and goodnight.

What, in your opinion, makes tickling weird or weirder than anything else that the big majority of the population does not do?

Being turned on by tickling does not necessarily mean having a fetish either. It means having a sexual preference. Just like being turned on by the same sex or the opposite sex is nothing more than just having a sexual preference.

I think it's sad that you don't see that.

Plus - what is so bad about having a fetish?? What you are describing is an addiction! Having a fetish - which CAN be pathological, but doesn't have to be - and having an addiction is not the same thing.

So, you have your opinion, I have mine.

At least mine stands on solid grounds! 🙂

If you get turned on by it, tickling is a fetish, not a sexual preference. If it makes you feel better not to think so, go ahead.

You know, to me it really doesn't matter if it's called fetish or sexual preference. 🙂 You can call it humpty dumpty if you'd like, it really wouldn't make a difference to me. Have you ever read the definition for it? Probably not, so here it is, just for you:

Sexual fetishism, or erotic fetishism, is the sexual arousal a person receives from a physical object, or from a specific situation. The object or situation of interest is called the fetish, the person a fetishist who has a fetish for that object/situation.[1] A sexual fetish may be regarded as an enhancing element to a romantic/sexual relationship "achieved in ordinary ways (e.g. having the partner wear a particular garment)" or as a mental disorder/disorder of sexual preference if it causes significant psychosocial distress for the person or has detrimental effects on important areas of their life.

And, again just for you, the general psychological view on it:

Psychologists and medical practitioners regard fetishism as normal variations of human sexuality[citation needed]. Even those orientations that are potential forms of fetishism are usually considered unobjectionable as long as all people involved feel comfortable. Only if the diagnostic criteria presented in detail below are met is the medical diagnosis of fetishism justified. The leading criterion is that a fetishist is ill only if he or she suffers from the addiction, not simply because of the addiction itself.

Thank you, the paragraphs above are exactly what I have been trying to say. That is how someone with a tickling fetish can experience it.

Of course, no doubt. I never said anything different. I'm just saying that there are more people who enjoy their fetish than who suffer from it. 🙂 Note the "or". 🙂

Plus, for most on here it is not an addiction. There was a time when I didn't care for tickling at all and hardly even came here.

I think you should talk for yourself only as you dont exactly know what goes through everyone else's mind. I am not so sure there are more people on here who enjoy their fetish than who suffer from it. I think many people are in denial and want to justify it (as you have been doing it in my opinion) and think it's normal and does not affect their lives at all, often on a unconscious level without that they even realize it.

I think you should talk for yourself only as you dont exactly know what goes through everyone else's mind.

Exactly the same goes for you. But still, you are saying

I think many people are in denial and want to justify it (as you have been doing it in my opinion)

You shouldn't try to tell people what is going on in their minds. We also don't tell you that you secretly totally enjoy your fetish and just have been brainwashed by some religious group and therefore must feel it's wrong.

I still fail to see what there is to be justified.

think it's normal

Hardly anybody here thinks it's normal. Hell, we keep on having threads in which we are discussing if it would be as much fun being into it if it WAS normal. (Therefore I don't believe you really have been reading on here a whole lot...). Believe it or not, not everybody wants to be normal - because it would mean being like everybody else. How boring would that be!

does not affect their lives at all

It doesn't affect my life in any other way than all other aspects of my sexuality. I agree it might be different for some, but people tend to have different sex drives anyways. Some think more about sex, some think less about it, whether it has to do with tickling, asses, feet, spanking or tits!

So this entire thread is you trying to convince people you know better than them about their tickleboners and are trying to convince them to "see the light"? Someones got an ego problem.

LOL religious group? LO you got me totally wrong. I just feel it is wrong for myself, nobody brainwashed me to think so. You are saying most people enjoy it pretending to be in their heads, I say I am not sure about that.

I still fail to see what there is to be justified.

Really? try think harder on that one.

Sure, only we are talking here of a sexually related fetish, and you seem to forget it or ignore it.

That is you, not me, not thousands others.

That is my personal thought on the subject. I am not trying to convice anyone, just express my thought. You may or may not agree with me. But maybe you could look a little deeper inside yourself before deciding how it is for you.

Really? try think harder on that one.

Try to explain to me why it has to be justified. Nobody gets harmed in any way by it.

Sure, only we are talking here of a sexually related fetish, and you seem to forget it or ignore it.

How is a sexually related fetish so different from something else? I really don't see your problem. Or, wait, no, I see your problem - you don't enjoy your fetish. Which tells me that you have a psychological problem. Having a fetish is not a problem, but having a problem with it if you have one sure is.

Today it's not all that uncommon to not just be into vanilla sex. Check out the different clip stores and what kind of fetishes they tend to. There is so much stuff, I doubt there is anybody in the world who is just into plain old sex without some kink added to it.

That is you, not me, not thousands others.

I bet you there are thousand others who feel about it like I do. I don't doubt that there are others who feel like you, but my experience tells me it's not more than people who feel like me.

maybe you could look a little deeper inside yourself before deciding how it is for you.

There you go again! Instead of just accepting that it might be different for others than it is for you, you imply that others just haven't realized that it is for them as it is for you!
