A couple of days ago I saw the meme posted below on FB. A few of my friends had commented on it some people were tagged. One of my friends tagged me in it as I know how ticklish her feet are and how much she hates it, plus I tickle her feet a fair amount.

I was just wondering if people had seen it and what their thoughts or reactions was to it. When I first saw it I was a bit nervous thinking I would eventually get tagged which did happen. Then I was interested ro see my FB friends comments and see their reaction. Finally I wanted to see the general comments which had over 100k. Most comments were of how ticklish people were and awful that would be.

So i was just wondering if anyone else in the community had seen it and their reaction to it.

I've seen that on a few sites before. A friend sent it to me because I always tickle her feet, honestly it was a funny surprise to get that from a vanilla who doesn't know about the fetish. I hope I see it pop up on my Facebook feed too.

What a great community response, thankyou. I'm glad and a little worried its out there and other people have seen it. I'm not sure if the tickling fetish becomig mainstream is a good thing. I think if people are more aware of the fetish, it becomes more difficult to do innocently. More people might assume you have a tickling fetish as they are more aware of it and the question 'do you have a tickle fetish' may become more common. Similar to foot fetish. Now that it is more mainstream a lot more people are aware of it. So when you offer somebody a foot massage instead of thinking what a nice gesture they are thinking this person might have a foot fetish.

I also think if the fetish were to become mainstream the documentry 'tickled' would have done it or has done it. I was seeing a vanila girl and I think we were talking about tickling and she brought up the documentry tickled. I of course acted dumb and asked what it was about. She said it's about the world of competitive tickling but also gets used by people with a tickling fetish. So when she said that I had a mini freak out as to how this vanila girl could know about my tickling world but have bo idea I'm into it. I think you may be overthinking this. Foot fetish has hit the mainstream a looong time ago, and yet people still act normal. Sure it pops up in conversation more often but otherwise nothing has changed. Foot massages feel great anyway, girls who request this think about that instead of thinking the guy may be a perv or sthg~ Have you noticed a sharp decline in requests these days? It is from a clip, as Libertine has noted.
It's also not in a non-fetish context; this was someone (most likely from this forum) starting this "totally random meme" thing again.
It's a way to start conversations with "vanillas" about tickling while pretending you're not trying to start a conversation about tickling.

I've argued with people over this before. It seems to mean "familiarity - revulsion". Foot fetish, while apparently still not widely acknowledged as "sexy", is "mainstream" because people know what it is, where apparently people will hear "tickling" and go complete apeshit and view you as a leper for being into it.

Being positive about it would really help give people a good outlook on it. A good view from the people who have it. And believe me... Fairly certain that the vast majority of people circulating this picture don't understand that it comes from a fetish context. Tickling is definitely not mainstream, and I honestly think it's much better that way.
