hey sorry about your discomfort! have you tried going to places with air conditioning like the mall or something or maybe even hit up friends who have AC? it may help.

I feel your pain Angel its 115 where I am and my AC is not working well. Hang in there hun.
 
sorry to hear of your dilema, the heat wave has been hurting many lately, i lost power for 14 hours the other day in 90+ heat with major humidity and it was awful. try to keep cool as best you can.......... :wavingguy

It's about 108 here right now.

Ah well, in Dhahran at this time of year, it'd be about 120, and the humidity would make it feel like around 130. If you're wearing glasses, they fog up the minute you go outside.
 
I live by L.A and it's smokin , maybe you can get an A.C on credit or the mall can help . If you have a basement that could be cooler . Hang in there soon enough it will cool down .

Here in Pittsburgh

It hasn't gone above 92 yet. I have two ac, one each in the bedroom and living room. Both workin' fine. Sooooo.........

Man, that sucks. It hasn't gotten quite that warm here but the humidity is killer, as always. You may try this:

Go to an AC company, smaller ones are better for this. Ask if they have any scrap evaporators with working fans (the fans are sometimes called squirrel cage fans). Get a couple of them and splice them with a scrap cord, extension cords work best, and you'll have the greatest fan you've ever felt. 😀
 
Been decent here lately due to big downpours, hell i was in a production warehouse friday and i was actually chilly by the fan.

My suggestion is enjoy the beach u may have nearby, the nearest water other than lake michigan is a river, a lagoon or a ditch, plus i'll never object to a lovely lady in a bikiki on the beach

That's why i'm glad to live in Canada, it never gets to hot here, but it sucks that it's so hot up there, I know it must be horrible, hope you get some rain or something to cool down the temperature.
 
For temporary relief...

Draw a bathtub full of Ice cold water...don't even touch the hot water tap...it's not much for permanant but it's a great temp. solution...and go see as many movies as you can afford...they have AC.

Hey there sweet young friend, I can't really help you with a solution, but I can let you know that you make this place cool for lots of us. Maybe a garden hose and a friend for another temporary cool you down moment. Come visit us here in Michigan, but I won't promise not to tickle, lol. Old men can't change their ways that easily. Be safe!!
 
Buy a snowcone maker....and cover yourself with shaved ice!
Ahhhhh, I bet that would look good as well as cool you off.

Another thing is to buy a bag ice and place it right behind a fan. Itll work for a little while, and when the Ice melts, just refreeze and repeat.

Sorry to hear how bad it is....I hope youll get through OK.

Awww thanks everyone! It is supposed to be the same today. I am going to try round up a few friends to go to the beach.

Actually it's kind of cloudy today so it is somewhat better than yesterday. That makes me really happy. 🙂 🙂
 
I dont know whether to be jealous or happy I am not over there ...........its the coldest winter in Sydney that I can remember. The max temp for the past week hasn't got more then 50 degree Fahrenheit and raining, at least you can go to the beach lol.

Anyway hope the weather gets better for you.
