Is Lady Gaga truly female?

For me, there's no question. I've seen some really convincing transvestites and transexuals, but Gaga doesn't even come close to being convincing. The hands, legs, and arms are definitely masculine.

And though many can see this as easily as I can, Lady Gaga claims she is and has always been female.

She's a woman. And I feel bad that people are so rude about how she looks. She's different and beautiful in her own way, not to mention extremely talented. If she were to be a transgender/vestite/crossdresser, I think she'd have no problems being open with that because she seems to not care what people think for the most part.......a good quality to have I might add 🙂 I don't get why people are so mean about the way she looks....she does have feelings just like the rest of us and I would imagine that eventually she'd be hurt, even if most things don't seem to bother her.

She's as much a performance artist as she is a singer. She likes to play with the media. This includes taking a dildo and shoving it down her pants before she went on stage, and then telling the press that she is a hermaphrodite, to mess with their and peoples perceptions. And also generate a lot of press.

Two of her big influences are Freddie Mercury (Her stage name comes from the Queen song "Radio GaGa") and Bowie (The lightning bolt eye decoration worn in her first video was a nod toward him, as he used the same image in his past) And just as Bowie played games with adrongany and sexual look, she has also. She is very press and image aware, and uses both to advance herself.

I honestly don't see what you see. Lady Gaga is truly female in my eyes.

If she is truly female or whatever, despite how much more accepting our society has become, it's still not that easy for gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transvestites, transsexuals, or intersexuals to admit that is what they are. Especially celebrities admitting it publicly.

Without all the make-up and costumes and exterior crap, I think she's actually an attractive woman. She so busy trying to carve out her niche in the music industry with gimmickry that she's losing her own identity... and it's a shame because she's a good musician and has a great singing voice.

I completely agree with everything you just said 😀 I dunno why everyone is so mean about her! I think she's adorable and hey if she ends up being a man, which I highly doubt, it's not that big of a deal, she would be adorable no matter what people need to stop the whole Lady Gaga bashing sheesh.

I saw it's "performance" on SNL and was very underwhelmed. It's voice was buried in effects and there were tons of backup singers. It was more about costumes and dancing than the actual music.
All signs point to Flash-In-The-Pan.

Wow, it's sad you think that, because she REALLY DOES have an incredible voice. Look up some of her acoustic stuff sometime. You know, where there are no voice over, effects, etc. I seriously doubt she'll be going anywhere, anytime soon. A lot of people adore her.

Agreed. And she's been around for a while, writing songs (hit singles), for other people. "Lady Gaga" is just a persona that sells albums. Stefani whatever her last name is has been behind the scenes for a long time. She knows exactly what she's doing and I believe has the talent to be around a while. She seems smart enough to know when to change her image.
