Well, I still feel angry about how he cheated the system in regards to the murder trial, but any incarceration is better than none at all.
Now, if we can only get Dr. Phil put away for that "alleged" rape case.
I am not too sure as to whether he did it or not, but I still want him jailed until the end of time because I think he's a creepy little asslick.

I guess I will be the voice of differing opinion. Why is everyone so happy? Because OJ "finally" gets convicted? This whole 2nd trial reeks of a setup, but no one wants to think that because it's OJ.
Think about it. How stupid do you think OJ is to go into a room and threaten people with guns? This is OJ Simpson. Say what you want about the guy, but he is not an idiot. He has had a target on his back everyday since 1994. Do you REALLY think he is that stupid to do something like what he is accused of? Also, how convenient is it that the people in the room brought a recording device. How many of you go into a meeting ready with a recording device? I also noticed, unless I'm wrong, there was nothing on the tape that said "Please don't shoot!". Was there any indication on the recordings that guns were involved? Setup folks. It was a setup. Probably initiated by Fred Goldman....
Let's be real. This verdict is nothing but "payback". OJ could have been sitting at home and someone wearing an OJ mask could have actually done this "crime" and the real OJ would still get convicted.
Folks, we need to stop this rampant hatred over OJ Simpson. Do any of you harbor the same kind of emotion over Robert Blake? He was accused of killing his wife, he got acquitted and no one barely utters a peep. OJ Simpson is acquitted and everyone is up in arms when anyone who paid attention to that trial can see there was reasonable doubt all over the place. I find it absolutely appalling that people have wasted the last 14 years of their lives hoping OJ Simpson would "get his". Funny, Osama Bin Laden is responsible for the 9/11 attacks, and people do hate him, but the mainstream in America doesn't focus on finding that sick fuck, but do not hesitate at all to ridicule OJ and hope he burns. What the hell is wrong with people?
For those of us that live in Southern California, we are reminded of such events as these. Where was the national outrage when those 4 cops beat the hell out of Rodney King on VIDEOTAPE and got acquitted? LA almost burns to the ground, but hey, "justice" was served huh? The court system did its duty and they were acquitted. Yet, those 4 officers do not face the same villification that OJ faces and the evidence against OJ is and always will be CIRCUMSTANTIAL. I remember interviews with people after the 4 officers acquittal and there was a sharp divide. People in Simi Valley stated justice ran its course and the officers were rightly acquitted. WTF? That's why LA burned. Bullshit views like that. But OJ? People feed into what the media said instead of thinking clearly about it and OJ is public enemy number 1. WHY?
I personally think OJ *might* had something to do with the murders of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown, but he did not physically do it. It is virtually impossible from the evidence that was presented. But seeing this "celebration" of someone getting convicted on what looks like a complete setup is really disturbing.....

Regardless if it was a setup, though, he still did the crime... so he's still guilty IMO.
I agree, Buggy, and even more ironic to me is the fact that O J, in addition to perhaps locking himself up for the rest of his life, inadvertently led police and the Goldman family to the property that will probably be auctioned off to pay down the civil judgement from the murder case. 🙄
Primetime, I've read your post several times and have been thinking about a few things myself. You pose some interesting arguments and I for the most part agree with you. But we do have some differing opinions.
First of all, you compare OJ to Robert Blake. Outside of two dead wives, they are as comparable as apples and screwdrivers. Same prosecutions for similar crimes; the commonality stops there. When Robert Blake got acquitted, what happened next? Absolutely nothing-he drifted back into obscurity never to be heard of again. What happened when OJ got acquitted? All hell broke loose! Why? Because instead of OJ taking his two kids and living a quiet existance happily everafter, he became an arrogant, chest-thumping, SOB-basically the man America loves to hate to this very day! Remember, this is a man who wrote a book stating if he did kill his ex wife, this is how he would've done it-did Robert Blake do that?
I firmly believe that either he killed Goldman and his ex wife or he knows who did. I heard the initial 911 tape when he broke through her door while she was on the friggin' phone-I believe that much anger and hatred can be enough to kill in not brought under control. Unfortunately, the investigation was completely botched and it gave room for him to get away with it! That's the way our justice system "works" some guilty get acquitted, some innocent get convicted. I really could care less about him; he just got away with murder in the same way Michael Jackson got away with child molestation; funny, didn't they have the same lawyer?
I do feel Simpson didn't have a snowball's chance with this case; he (once again, IMO) allowed his arrogance to get the best of him. Now they're going to throw the book at him and I don't completely feel that justice has truly been served. We don't convict criminals on karma; we convict based on hard evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. I don't think that happened here and personally feel he stands a good chance at an appeal.
Oh, and one last thing; you made a statement about Rodney King. I'm not as good at research as many on this forum but at one time the total tape (not just the one edited by the media) was shown at the police officers' trial. It was shown only once; if you would've seen what I saw, you'd be wondering why they didn't shoot his PCP induced car chase and attack. They had to beat him to restrain him. LA rioted for a drug addict on a PCP high Prime; one of the worst tragedy in our cultures' history IMO. If Los Angeles got to see the entire taping, those riots NEVER would've happened, trust me.

My thoughts on OJ have nothing to do with the color of his skin and I wish to God people would stop thinking that's my reason for hating him just because I'm a white chick. The best man at my wedding was black, I truly do not recognize color. OJ murdered his wife and everyone knows it. He's a pompous arrogant asshole. Robert Blake was a piece of shit and a fellow Italian. Rodney King baited the cops. If you've ever been one, you know the adrenaline that results from the kind of chase he put them through. Had he been doing "the right," there would have been no issue.
