I was full of energy this morning because I had A LOT of homework planned so I could go out tomorrow and take the day off. I was really excited!
:excited: :excited:

So anyway, I get my books out, and my calculator, and my coffee and my overnight guest who was sitting at my desk yelled, "The internet...it's broken!" Before I go further, she heads out for a day of shopping and whatever leaving me to fix the web. I had her on a guest account, so I figured it would be fine.

No, no, no, no. I spent 4 hours wondering what the problem was, and then I realized she had changed my default internet settings. That's all. How did she get in there? I locked everything down good and tight to keep her from my porn.

Have you ever just felt like a dumbass when working on your computer, and wasted a good portion of your day while your device mocks you?
🙁

I'm sorry that happened to you luv. For me, even a simple problem involving a computer can keep me occupied for hours, accompanied by much mumbling and grumbling, profanity, and innocent objects within reach being launched across the room. That said, your friend has some nerve snooping around on your computer like that, and changing your settings.

This kept me occupied for hours, and I pretty much launched into full-scale- potty mouth for much of the day. Needless to say, no one will ever help me make my internet not work. I can do that by myself no problem.

As can I luv, as can I. And I misspelled nerve. 😱

I updated my computers graphics driver, and now the screen goes blank for a second then comes back when putting in or taking out headphones.

Not so much an entertaining story as it is pissing me off, but I've never heard of this happening before, what the fuck's going on?

Sorry that happened to you hun 🙁 It does happen to me all the time. There are just so many programs and drivers and other stuff that needs to be updated and kept track of that sometimes it amazes me these computer thingies even start up.

Sorry you went through that, Helena. 🙁
I had a similar problem once, when I installed a new security suite, I didn't realize that I had to set it to "home network" because the default was "no network". That wasted an hour. Sigh.

Is it a Dell? I've actually had this happen to me BECAUSE of someone logging on with the guest account. I had to go through this whole process TWICE, because I forgot to bookmark the Dell support page that helped me out, the first time, and I still can't remember how I got it back, since I reformatted and lost the bookmark. I just remember that it somehow disabled my wifi, and I think I had to go into the device manager to reinstall the drivers, or just disable and reenable. All I remember was that it was a pain in the ass. Sorry to hear you're going through it.

I just can have the best time on my computer, but not all the time. :rowfull:
I got a router for my wifi, and use it through a broadband connection, and I wasted a couple of DAYS trying to hook it all up.
😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
I absolutely hate my device manager, and call it Mr. Fucker. I purchased network magic and it was worth every penny.
On a normal day I'm good, but :rowfull: :rowfull: :rowfull: OMG.
