hello fellow ticklephiles, my brain recently had an idea that we (myself and my brain) were thinking about for years now. i wanted to do a tickling survey at a nearby university, and today, i went ahead with the plan. now, i had to concoct a story about why i was doing the survey. i only asked 10 females today, but i am not done with my survey. here was my plan. i would ask random females to fill out a survey for a class i was taking at some Junior College. i told them it was about "mind over matter" and my particular survey was a fun one. not one of those painful ones like walking over hot coals and such. i would only approach women who werent studying, or were by themselves in a public place, like a eating area. i wanted to do everything in public so it wouldnt look like i was some psycho or something. i told them the survey was completely anonymous. it only had 12 questions, and most of them did it with no problem. here are the questions i had on the survey.
1. is mind over matter possible? yes no
2. are you ticklish? yes no
3. where are you ticklish? neck, underarms, ribs, stomach, knees, feet and other.
4. on a scale 1-10, rate your ticklish areas (10 being very ticklish).
5. do you like to tickle, or be tickled? tickler ticklee both
6. if you saw a pair of trapped, vulnerable barefeet, would you tickle them? yes no
7. would you consider tickling to be torture? yes no
8. have you ever been tickled tortured? yes no
9. have you ever tickled tortured someone? yes no
10. if you were tickled tortured, would you reveal confidential information? yes no
11. do you think you can do "mind over matter" when it comes to tickling? yes no
12. would you like to participate in a tickling experiment? yes no
those were the questions. they were harmless questions. i didnt ask for names or ages, just "yes, no" type questions. i had a feeling #12 would have a lot of "no", but what the hell, you never know right? anyway, from the 1st ten people i surveyed (by the way it took me 2 hours to do this. i was picking people at complete random) here were the results.
ethnic backgrounds (from my best judgment of course): 6 Asians, 4 Caucasions.

interesting survey so far! now there was this one student who enjoyed the survey. she was the only 1 who wanted to particpate in an experiment. now i had to hold back some as i didnt want to appear over anxious to tickle someone. but she let me tickle her knees, because she felt she could hold out. i tickled her knees, but i didnt do it as hard as i would normally do. we're out in public, plus i didnt want to seem like a tickle crazed-lunatic (even though i am!). i made it seem fun and she enjoyed it. she "proved" to me she oculd do "mind over matter". in my head, i was thinking "let me REALLY tickle you and we'll see.." i think i might try to find her again, she was really cool. the others gave me good reactions, no one seemed offended. i made my approach real gentle. i believe it is how you say it, and that way you dont seem "weird". i made it seem like a fun thing, and i thank the big man upstairs i have a very youthful appearance so i look like a regular university student. if i was an old man, i think i wouldnt be able to pull it off. this was only part 1, i am going to try again, and i will probably head off to the local JC. i was at UC Irvine for today's survey. i will go back there, but i might try a JC as well. what do you think?
