A woman who calls herself "The Taboo Goddess" and charges $150 an hour for providing dominatrix services was arrested last week at a house in Stillwater where she kept her "sex dungeon," police said Monday.
Kristal Ann Taylor, 41, of Stillwater, was arrested on suspicion of prostitution and taken to the Washington County Jail, said Sgt. Jeff Stender of the Stillwater Police Department. Stender said he planned to meet this week with prosecutors from the Washington County attorney's office and the city to discuss what charges Taylor could face.
Police began investigating Taylor after neighbors who live near 1111 S. Everett St. — the tan, split-level house that Taylor dubbed "The Taboo Dungeon" — called police to report that "there was a high volume of traffic by men at the house who stayed anywhere from one hour to two hours," Stender said.
Attempts to reach Taylor on Monday through the number listed on her website were unsuccessful. Taylor, also known as Kristal Ann Zimmerman, registered the website in April, police said.
Taylor and her boyfriend began renting the house on Everett Street on April 1, Stender said. The house is in a residential neighborhood near Stillwater Junior High School and Lakeview Hospital.
"The entire main level of the residence was set up as her sex dungeon," Stender said. "There were six homemade pieces of bondage apparatus, bondage furniture, items clearly used to restrain people, pornographic photos on the wall .... One of the bedrooms in the basement contained wigs, boots, costumes, make-up and notes related to what particular men might have wanted done to them."
According to the search warrant filed in Washington County District Court, other items found in the house included latex gloves, handcuffs, sex toys, bondage apparatus, personal lubricant, adult diapers and the case for an electronic fly swatter.
"In my 20 years of law enforcement experience, I've never seen anything like this," Stender said.
Police began surveillance on the house and investigating Taylor after receiving complaints from neighbors in August, Stender said. "There were things going on at the residence that they thought were odd," he said. "Surveillance conducted on the residence showed that no one stayed at the residence on a continual basis."
Police stopped several men after they left the house and were able to track down Taylor's ad on backpage.com, her "Taboo Goddess" website and her cell phone number, Stender said.
The website says the Taboo Dungeon is in Stillwater and "discretion is assured."
"If you have ever wished to submit to the desires of a beautiful woman with a petite athletic physique ... you will find your way to me," according to the website. "I am a unique one-of-a-kind Goddess ... sensual, playful, adventurous, mischievous yet can be very deviant too. For those of you who have been extremely naughty, I have all the implements and equipment necessary to correct your behavior."
According to the website, "recommended donations" are $150 an hour or $225 for 90 minutes.
Taylor is the mother of the 14-year-old girl, Taylor Zimmerman, who was struck and killed by lightning while playing outside their house at 1016 S. Sixth St. in July 2009.

I saw this on the news and thought I'd share it. So far she hasn't been charged with prostitution. It's up to the police to determine that, but it's interesting. I know that there are dungeons in the Twin Cities and all, but I'm somewhat surprised that this woman had one in a house that she rented. I imagine if you're going to be running a dungeon from a house, you'd want it in an area that is as private as possible. I don't know.
