Springing Forward tonight? Sounds like fun.

Yes its that day that we all have to move clocks ahead 1 hour at 2am on Sunday. Anyone have anything special planned?
I have a ritual....
I wait till 1:59am then I start cleaning the house. Ill stop at 3:15am (after the hour change of course) and then I claim the whole next day I spent over an hour cleaning my house. Or I might get a cup of hot tea and then exclaim "WOW that was the longest cup of tea Ive ever had"

But thats just me.

Anyone else do anything for this event.

I have a friend that has like 1000 clocks & watches (he collects clocks and watches) and spends several hours resetting them all. I call him usually to keep him company for a few since I usually still up.

Yes tonight my laptop does the "Time Warp" cause Bill Gates wont update OS's less then Windows XP SP2 and cause Congress has nothing better to do then to enact useless laws regarding Daylight Savings Times. No wonder their approval rating is as bad as the Presidents. 😛

So tonight my laptop transports to Arizona (a state smart enough to not have DST) and I adjust times settings and send myself emails till I am sure everything is tweaked just right. Sometimes I end up jumping back and forth in time for a day or two till I get it right. Sorta like HG Wells on crack 🙂 😛 I sure hope the space time continum is ok by my house when I am through. 🙂

Thanks for the link. 😀 I saw that one but I think it messes with the registry so I decided against it.

I heard the other day that other states are revolting due to new studies that show the change in DST for some areas creates higher energy costs than the old schedule. But we all know the change was done strictly to help retail sales. I promise I won’t be doing any additional shopping, just for spite.

All I do is lament the lost hour of sleep in the middle of exams.

Then again, the late-night studying hours all blur into one incoherent mess anyways, so it doesn't make -too- much of a difference. But still...

Yeah. I'm boarding a plane bound for Maui for a week~how's that for perfection? My internal clock'll be f'ed up anyway but at least I'll be half naked on one of the world's most beautiful beaches, enjoying drinks and getting more tan than I am already...

I procrastinated until this morning. And my cable box and computer did it automatically while I slept. My ancient VCR didn't.
