Superman now looks like a lost Villiage People. Bryan Singer sucks

Ok, im quite out of touch with what mainly goes on in the entertainment world of today (music and movies..for good reason! lol) but..are they tryin to do a new Superman film replacing Christopher Reeve?? That new guy you posted does kinda look like one of the Village People in a way LOL...but VP did have a few good songs LOL LOL.

Oh God that's terrible! I've seen more convincing portrayals in high school home movies for drama projects!

Someone fire the entire crew of that pile of crap. Whatever happened to having an actor in condition so you didn't need outrageously shite padding?

:evilha:

Blah blah blah....you'll be in the theater just like everyone else.

Christopher Reeve was an awesome Superman, but I was already an adult by the time he came along. Here's the Superman with whom I grew up...

In that one pic with him in the normal suit he does very much resemble Reeve (who was the Superman I grew up with). Its a damn shame they totaly screwed it up..and no, I wont be one of the ones in the theater when it comes out LOL thats for sure. I still yet to sit through the entire Hulk movie which ive tried to do several times since its been on cable (and always have switched it off bout half way through)..but its just blasphamy to Bill Bixby so I cant...which this will prob be blasphamy to Reeve, so will prob be the same senerio for me a few yrs down the line when it hits cable. The one pic looks like its gonna be that CGI or whatever thats called shit. Take me back to the 70s and 80s and let me stay there please LOL

Why does Superman even wear a belt? His briefs about to fall down? Superman, in human interpretation, always looked a little fruity to me compared to most of his comic art images. Except the original Seigel-Schuster comics, he looked a little funny then, too.
George Reeves and Kirk Alyn looked as good as Chris Reeve in their time & place but even then Alyn could have laid off the Super-doughnuts a bit.

A 120 minute film has about 172,800 frames in it. About 5 or 6 test shots and out-take images aren't going to ruin it for me. I remember people complaining on the Internet about the X-men's costumes and the green Goblin Costume before the release of the respective films, and both of those franchises are gearing up for their 2nd sequels.

Boy oh boy Does Kal-El ever look like a sissy in that uniform :jester: I couldn't fight him while he wore that outfit I'd be laughing to hard :jester: :jester:

Last month, when I was at the comic con I saw the trailer for this. To me, it didn't look that bad. But I couldn't help but think why they didn't have the guy from "Smallville" playing Superman? To me, that makes more sense. I think he would have done a great job. But I guess Brian Singer said he wanted to keep this movie as a separate entity from "Smallville".

But I'm really going to miss Gene Hackman as Lex Luther. He was so great. I think Kevin Spacey will be a good Lex Luther too, but Gene will always be Lex.

P.S. yeah, he does kinda look like a string bean in those pictures...

I know what you mean. I'm definately joining the Dark Side now!

Omg!!

Why can't most comic book movies stay with the traditional costumes? It worked with changing the X-Men's outfits, but this is hideous!!

What I want to know is, what's the deal with those treacherous, two-faced, back-stabbing turd stranglers the Salkinds? Are they still a financial partner in this movie, or did Dick Donner buy the rights off them?

That suit reminds me of the outfit supes wore in 3 when he 'turned bad'and his costume became dull and boring and dirty. The colors just look dingy to me. I always thought one of the things that made his outfit unique was how prominent the large "S" was on his chest. Notice the new one is smaller. Also, the colors were always bright and colorful, like Reeves and every Superman before him.

The movie will probably be worth seeing and I'm sure everything will fall into place. But I agree.. the new Batman, Spiderman and Fantastic Four outfits I have no problem with, but that outfit just doesn't cut it as Superman's costume, in my opinion.

Holy crap, Batman!

That guy looks like a good strong wind could blow him away... And that's with the padded suit ON. Christopher Reeve (pre-accident) could have kicked this kid's ass with both eyes closed and one hand behind his back.

Also, with respect to that costume... Someone needs to tell the Man of Steel to start shopping in the (Super)MEN'S department... :ermm:

Oh well, I guess this means that, in about 10 years, we'll get a kick-ass movie called "Superman Begins." 😀 You heard it here first. 😉

I hate Superman anyways

I've never been a big Superman fan anyways. I never understood how an invulnerable character could be considered a hero. For a deed to be heroic there has to be some degree risk to the person performing it. How often does Superman run into Krypronite or magic, or some one with Kryptonion science. To me Superman will never be the hero Batman or Spider-Man are. I could be brave to if I had a tank, an the other guy had a sling shot.

I hope the movie flops, and it’s the last one they ever make.

I agree with Buggs. Superman is a hero because he choses to use his talents and abilities to help people, rather than to help himself. He constantly puts the needs and well-being of others before his own. To me that's the definition of a hero.
