Fireworks are one of the coolest things.

I use to make my own...when I could, not a smart thing to do as it is dangerous. I did love it though cause it is super cool.

They are very dangerous. I had a lot of chemistry knowlefge so i was better off but still was rather fool hardy. Luckily i never got hurt.

I never got hurt either. But a cherry bomb is the equivalent of s 1/3 s stick of dynamite. Very dangerous. I have heard they sell cherry bombs equivalent to a full stick of dynamite. Very very dangerous.

Yes, the boys in my neighborhood, who all used cherry bombs and ashcans, said that if you closed your fist around one when it went off, then you would lose your whole hand. We would have contests about how far we could throw them.

Yea i put a cherry bomb in a paint can. It blew the paint can to bits. Luckily i didn't get hit by the shrapnel.

I think that ash cans were made illegal when I was a teenager because of too many maimed children. I found an image of one:

Yea that looks like the ones I had. They pack a big wallop. Lot of illegal fireworks out there. The one that is the equivalent of a full stick of dynamite is illegal as well.

You are a smart man. Explosives don't always behave properly. It's easy to lose body parts when they don't. At the explosives place where I worked one person lost a hand, one lost two finger and part of his face and another had a main artery cut in his arm which nearly killed him. By the grace of God I kept all my parts lol

The one day that has stuck with me this year is 4th of July. It's like one of the best days of the year that nobody talks about all year but you hear everyone talking Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and other days all year long.

Sadly, the Cyclones will be on the road July 4, 2026. It is great to go to a baseball game on that day, with special give-away items and a fireworks show after the game. 🎆

Odd I can understand quantum mechanics but women remain an enigma. At least flowers are something I figured out. Only took me 50 years lol.

I have a friend who is indifferent to Halloween but loves November 1st because there is lots of half price chocolate in Halloween wrapping for sale.

Yes, the market is slim for chocolate Easter bunnies on the Monday after Easter. 😛
