The four categories

Hey goddess that kind of brings me to another point: I think the "romantic" sessions involve more two-way traditional interaction. Sensualism can involve that too, but sometimes it is fun to have what I call (and Strider and I have spoken of this) "the aloof" factor like you might get in a massage or a flogging (who else could put those two actions together???). Sometimes sensualist was to just be there and be driven to a zone---without a lot of distractions, etc.

I think the sensualist are more inclined to be "sadistic jerk" or be lees who appreciate "sadistic jerks". Again, it is the pushing the boundaries thing.

As Steph (my idea of a romantic) puts it, she is not into pain and a long term session with her would not necessarily push any boundaries with her or put into a zone but would be more adoring, if that makes sense.

Yeah that's me then. Sensationalist. I'm not particularly into the whole boundary pushing myself; I mean there's enjoying and indulging a fetish and then there's taking liberties with someone else's body, but I like the reaction you get from the odd sly poke in the ribs or a quick tickle when she's not expecting it. Except when the reaction is "a kick in the bollocks". I suppose I'd be more mischeivious than sadistic, really.

Since you put it that way, I have to change my answer:

I"d be more of the romantic than the sensualist; I like to ler and enjoy the control aspects of it, but am not into pain or torture of any kind. The term "broken" makes my eyes water just about everyt time I see it!

I'll keep my initial commentary on the lover and sexualist; the right person will definitely bring those quallities out of me!

I think I'm almost equal parts all four....

but if any one category fits more than the others it's probably lover.
Something like 23% each for sexualist, sensualist and romantic, 31% for lover.
Like in most of my stories; I'm all about giving the 'lee so much pleasure that she ends up falling in love with me, even if she started out hating me.

hmmmmmmmmm, I have seen you mainly as a Romantic, which as I said, most play at gatherings are Romantic---but I suspect there is a sensualist in you---in fact, the way you played with Godiva was pretty sensual like. How do you see yourself for the most part?

I know these are only my definitions and I am still figuring them out but sensualist tend to be more intense, aloof, and boundary pushing than romantics. Not all boundary pushing is sadistic and painful it does moving to the "zone".

Based on observation and experience, and many discussions with my rock star, Strider and my goddess, Steph I have concluded there are four main driving forces that bring people to the tickling and/or bdsm community, the gatherings, the dungeons and then keep them in the scene. Granted, most people are a little of all four categories but overall I think most people I know can fall into one main category listed below:

I want to emphasize this is not how people necessarily play in all their scenes, or at gatherings or in privates, but what individual desires drive them. Obviously, situation, venue, participants, etc all effect the play and interaction.

With encouragement from my goddess, Steph who is interested in other observations or categories, I present mine:

SEXUALIST:

This is a person who is sexually turned on by tickling and wants to eventually have his/her traditional sexual organs gratified, most likely via direct stimulation, leading to orgasms. The most intense of all.

SENSUALIST: (This is me):

This person enjoys the journey more than anything and prefers the focus to remain on tactile stimulation. Reaching the zone and/or experiencing orgasms are a bonus and not necessarily achieved through traditional sexual organs. The most experimental of all.

LOVER:

This person wants to be seduced and views tickling as part of the love-making process and hopes to develop a monogamous relationship with their tickling partner. The most serious of all.

ROMANTIC: (This is Steph)

This person treats a tickling scene almost as a first or second date with cute flirty light ticking, teasing, and dialogue. The most playful of all.
Sub-Category: The Player: Pure innocent fun and just silly good old times, a la, wresting with your best childhood buddy.

I don't know. I don't think you can pin Steph down to one thing. I think it depends on how she is feeling at the time. I promiss you there are times when tickling is foreplay with her looking forward to a hard ass finish, then other times it's just a silly fun thing. You could say Stephie is a Chick for all Season, thats why we loves her 🙂.

I think "mischievous" behavior is more in "Romantic" category as it tends to be flirty, interactive, and going for the immediate reaction. "Sensuality" is the long term journey to a head rush or zone. Some mischievous" behavior could add to that journey, but it could also distract. Again just my two cents.

For me, it depends on the situation and the 'lee. Each is it's own. Some bring out a sensualist and a lover, a lover and a romantic, or all four.

If could restrain to just one, I might. I might not, though. I can't, so it don't matter.

Interesting you should see me that way. It's true I don't put a lot of emphasis on experimentation, but I do like to try out different positions. I've found they have a significant effect on vulnerability. I'll admit to a fair bit of Romantic in me as well, and initially I was undecided between the two, however I chose sensualist as it better depicts my interest in tickle TORTURE, and I definitely favor the tactile stimulation of tickling over direct stimulation of the sexual organs (although the latter has it's appeal at times). After a lengthy tickle torture, I feel better, more alive, and more deeply satisfied than I do after even the best sex.
