What an amazing, beautiful, perfect goal by the US!! well, not really, but certainly the most moving, the most just goal in the world cup so far. The team that appeared to be conspired against by the refs of the tournament, with two crucial disallowed goals over nothing, has spat and laughed in their faces! I can't find words to describe how happy that goal made me.
And nobody deserved to score that goal more than Landon Donovan. He is one of my favorite players in the world. Not so much for his soccer, He's a good player, but I don't think for a minute he's a world class star. But he's not only a good player, he's a man on a mission - the mission to advance soccer in the US. it's in his blood, it's pumping in his veins, you can see it in his eyes. He plays for the MLS out of choice, no doubt he could have made more money playing in Europe. He's not afraid to say what he thinks about anybody, from the robbers in referee clothes in the world cup to his money-sucking bum teammate David Beckham. You gotta love this guy, he's a sportsman in the purest form, a dinosaur, they don't make 'em that way anymore.
