Computers can be very tricky to deal with. 😀 😛
Oh yes That's why I am thankful I have not had any problems with mine 😀 😛
I haven't had problems this year; last November I needed help urgently. 😱
😀 😛
That is good. Problems tend to be very expensive.
😀 😀 😛
Seems problems can arise out of nowhere often. 🙁
😀 😀 😛
Yes, one day all was well and the next day it was as slow as molasses with a little window popping up saying not enough memory was available. 😱
😀 😛
Especially when the warranty has expired 😱
😀 😛
Bet that was a nasty shock 😱
😀 😛
Seems thats the only thing warranties really do well is expire. 😛
😀 😀 😛
It sure was. Getting rid of Norton security suite and replacing it with CA security suite helped a lot, but the performance didn't get back to normal until I bought a new memory chip. 😀 😛

Yeah................ I only got a two year warranty for it 😀 😛
I dont like Norton or their tech support staff.
😀 😀 😛
That reminds me of that extended warranty thread from awhile backI looked at getting a Dell once if you bought all the warranties it ended up costing more then the computer itself LOL. 😀
😀 😀 😛

Oddly enough,I have never had a problem with Norton Not sure who I will go with for security for my next laptop 😀 😛

I hate when companies charge you for something you don't want,or didn't buyMy beefs with Norton are these:
1) As explained above, their security suite slowed down my computer considerably, as evidenced by the fact that it ran very much faster the moment their programs were removed.
2) Three months later, they automatically renewed my subscription for another year and charged me for it, even though I had clearly and unmistakably checked "one time purchase" when I bought their product in the first place.![]()
