The exact spot a Hurricane will hit is still a bit difficult to predict I think. 🙁

😀 😀 😛

I've experienced category 1 hurricanes here in NYC but not worse.
😀 😛

They usually have a "cone of uncertainty" that widens as the time projected lengthens. 😀 😛

There was a hurricane in PA once during the early 70's I was but a wee lad during that time All I remember is lots of rain and National Guard trucks 😀 😛

It sounds and feels like your roof is going to blow off during a category 1 hurricane. Once you get up to category 3, your roof may actually blow off. 😱

Oh my. :yowzer: :xpeepsofa I dont think I like hurricanes.

As a trucker,I am more worried about tornadoes than anything else 😱

😀 😛

Tornadoes are not fun either. 😱

😀 😛

That makes sense. There is plenty of warning for a hurricane, and almost none for a tornado. 😱
😀 😛

The closest I've ever been to a tornado was around one mile Back in May of 2003,I was at our company terminal in Oklahoma City when one touched down :shake::shake:

😀 😛

Many years ago, when I lived for two years in Illinois, I took shelter when tornado warning sirens went off, but never actually saw or heard one.
😀 😛

A little over two years back I was at a shipper in NE Ohio Some of us truckers saw what looked like a tornado twister forming Thankfully it did not 😀 😛

We almost had one I remember. Skies turned real black and the funnel started to form. Fortunately it stopped at that point so the tornado never hit.

😀 😀 😛
