Well it finally downloaded. The person who sent it is very nice and meant well so I sent a nice email back explaining my connection and laptop really cant handle files that big. So all is cool.

I don't store big files like that. I don't want to clutter up my hard drive. If I want to keep them available I will save the email and let hotmail store them. 😀 😛

I dont mind storing them so much although you are right they can bog down a system after awhile. Also it cant take virus scanners forever to go through them.

Virus scan times seem to take longer and longer as a computer gets older. Large zip files can really slow it down as a good virus program will go down several levels to make a virus is not embedded in the zip.

Thank you! My main computer went belly up, can't recover the pics and things, nor could Best buy. Oh well. Had to get a new one. (have to have two, one for theboss and, of course, one for the old man). I will remember that and certainly send you a note as to the problem and you can likely direct me.

There is a product called SpinRite 6.0 which works real well for recovering data and repairing hard drives. Its not free but depending on how valuable your data is you might want to look at it. The link is below:
