I went to see Captain America with a movie pass. I usually enjoy most films, and I knew this was going to require my complete and full disconnection from reality to enjoy it.....and I gave it my best shot.......but I didn't like it. 😀

I didn't like the character Captain America because of his special shield that repelled bullets. This was important to me because he went into battle with troops that didn't have the same protection. I thought his love interest in the film needed to be more messy. Also, it had a very long set up. He acted like a glory hound, and the ending was very similiar to Bruce Willis in that movie with Ben Affleck and Liv Tyler when he stays behind on an asteroid to save humanity.
Wait for the DVD.

I see what you are saying. 🙂 I'd say,even without seeing it,the ending was probably typical for the time period the movie was about.

The original Captain America comics probably were cheesy. Not like today's version of comics. 🙂

Yes. The woman character was exactly 1940's. Red lipstick....always clean...never a hair out of place. The man, no matter how hard he fought or got shot at was never injured. It's odd for me to see a period piece and then go to modern times and watch something made now.
Perhaps the time period of comic is what I didn't like. Something to think about... 😀
