The Strange Case Of The Zodiac Killer
What makes the Zodiac Killer case so strange? It is I think because so many decades no one could solve the case. In fact the case is still officially unsolved. The only real suspect Arthur Leigh Allen passed away like 5 years ago. The Zodiac Killer left behind many cryptic messages. It's only recently like in 2020 with advent AI we were able to decode them. In that decoding we find the zodiac motive... he believed anyone he murdered would be his slave in the afterlife. Thus the killings were almost totally random. No motives. No vengeance. No greed. No lust. Just a demented belief that anyone he killed would be his servant. We watch all the detective shows and we delude ourselves into thinking that the law can always protect us. It does the best it can but against true randomness like the zodiac it struggles. That is in my humble opinion what makes this case so strange and so very scary. Your thoughts are welcome.
