Geez, depends on when in time you ask me.
Like my sinister e-twin, qjakal, I dig Wolverine and Spectre. Depends on who's doin' 'em, though. Seen both messed up by bad writers and/or artists. That Bella has associations 'tween Wolverine and I cracks me up. One o' the nicest things anyone ever said 'bout me, way I figure it. That Alan Moore saved the Spectre saga was a blessin' for comic geeks everywhere.
I'd add Nightcrawler t'that mix, as a childhood fav. Somethin' 'bout fuzzy, blue, pointy eared German folk that can disappear in shadows just appealed t'me. That he was so... nice was a trip. If I were burnt outta my home, I'd likely be a bit more tense.
Also dig Batman and Robin, again dependin'... Wouldn't give ya a nickle for that mess in the seventies, but much since the dark knight saga was respun by Frank Miller. Yeah, clearly DC jacked the storyline by goin' wide (Knightfall and that whole Bane mess) but there was some good stuff in there, too.
Too many to name... Bats and Wolverine are the two favs, Spectre's up there, and most of the rest goes to non-hero comics in the Vertigo strain... Wait, Cerebus. That's another hero, even if he ain't so super. Amusin' as hell, and the writer's mad as hatters and damned interestin'. Pisses me off sometimes, but that he's gettin' thinkin' into a comic book just impresses me, even when I don't agree.
Thanks for the thread, Kurchatovium. Another bit o' evenin' cheer for me!
