I wish they had all of the champions wrestling on both shows. You don't need two champions for each level.
Agreed, but doesn't there need to be more than just the World title on Raw? The tag belts are already unified, will we have an IC champ that goes on both brands as well?
Bret Hart at least has SOME credibility in a wrestling ring, unlike David Arquette.
But it is dumb. Give a title to a guy who can't wrestle. Must have been part of his contract.
He lost allot of his credibility when he agreed to win a title from a younger healthy performer with a long term future with the company. I don't think this was part of his contract, if it was, then it was pretty selfish on his part, and stupid on McMahon's part. Then again it's not like McMahon isn't capable of breaking his word... so I am going to go with the idea that it was a random idea some idiot writer came up with.
Coming back for the Hall of Fame and the DVDs made some sense, you could understand that. Even coming back to honour his father by inducting him into the Hall of Fame this past Mania most people can get, but this bull shit... I just don't get it. Even money doesn't excuse something this dumb.
All comes down to the mighty dollar. Bret Hart is a name that will make people who haven't watched wrestling in years tune back in.
Yes, but Hart is not the first Hall of Famer to continue his career. Hogan and Flair are still wrestling... albeit on TNA. And what about when Flair lost a retirement match to HBK, then to show up on the active roster on TNA.
Hypocritical? To say the very least.
Very true and both Hart and McMahon are to blame. I mean Bret Hart doesn't have nearly 1/2 the skill he had. Sure he wants his name back in the spotlite and McMahon wants to push his name, to sell arena tickets and DVDs.
Bret Hart as the US champion is a token gesture, more than anything else.
And while we're at it, why was the US Title defended in Canada? Once again, another token gesture.

And truthfully, as much as it pains me to say it, the Miz doesn't need the US belt. The mid-major titles are to reward long time mid carders, or to promote up and coming superstars. The Miz' mouth makes him stand above that.
Bret coming back is very simple. Vince is scared shitless that Dixie Carter and TNA might actually push him and the WWE out as the wrestling super power.
Dixie Carter is about 3-5 years, 2-3 big stars, and a couple hundred million dollars away from that, and even then, it'll be close. I love TNA, and I think it can be popular, but until there is some more money thrown into it, it's going to continue to tread water.

Why do they need to try? They can win without trying.
Oh, and I have officially set my DVR to tape NXT, strictly so I can watch Low-Ki / Senshi / Kaval. If he doesn't destroy everyone, I'll be very sad.
What's with the NXT names, anyway? Why can't Hennig and Rotunda be who they are?
Husky Harris? Seriously?
