Not sure where to put this so feel free to move it to wherever it would go mods. Anyway, I tried to go into TT a bit ago and it redirects me to a page saying "This domain has expired". Anyone got any idea what went on or anything?
 
Actually, scratch that. Just went out for me as well.

Yeah, it wouldn't load for me earlier on either. Give it some time for them to sort stuff out, I guess. Or not, as the case might be.
 
i am guessing that the lease on the site has ended and has to be renewed. not really sure.......shame though....
 
I just tried it out and it worked fine for me. Perhaps they're having on again/off again technical difficulties.
 
It looks as if the URL lease has expired and not been re-upped.

What does that mean?

Well the theatre is still there on it's server, and it's not been deleted. It's just that unless you know it's exact numeric ISP you can't get to it. The easy to use URL which browsers are based upon is gone.

Why they allowed their URL lease to expire is unknown to me. It could be an oversight, it might be they decided to toss in the towel. Until HDS or another admin pop up to tell us, we'll not know for sure.

We've heard of no issues they were having with content. So I don't believe this was a legal issue.

Hopefully they will return, but if not, then I'll miss them. I've always felt that the web is best served by several sites and TT was a good balance to us.

I think had they just decided to be done with the site they'd at least gave us some warning.
 
must be a temporary thing, i can't imagine anything permanent is wrong.

but crap, now i have nowhere to chat. gonna be a boring night.
 
It must have just been an oversight. They just did a redesign a few weeks ago. It will be back up... eventually.

I feel I must echo Mr. Goth. None of the other staff knows what's going on, either (or at least, Bob), so it can't have been a planned thing. Bob sent an email to Mr. TickleTheater, however, so I'm sure it'll be sorted with on the morrow, if our site creator checks his inbox regularly.
 
Has to be an oversight. As I contributed in the site design overhaul (created one of the header pics) I have been in conversation with mr. Theater recently, and nothing pointed to him giving up on the site.

HI Thanks for the information Myriads, they have only recently upgraded the site at TT, i can't imagine it to be a serious problem,fingers crossed hope for the best.

I remember when TMF was down for awhile with all the updates and TT was where I went while it was going on. It's nice to have another site available. ^^

Danka, miss! I feel like a refugee or something without my Theater. It's nice to have this site to come to for developing information in the affair.

I really liked TT. They're was something unique about it. It some great artists that were kinda exclusive to the site. I'm sure it'll be back soon. Just gotta ask an admin. if someone hasn't already.
