Toenail Color

I know this isn't exactly a tickling topic but here goes, What is your favorite toenail polish color to see on a woman (or if you are a woman to wear) and why? Mine is black especially on a lighter skinned foot like caucasian or asian feet. I particularly like the contrast of a darker color on a lighter foot.
 
Clear.

Colored nail polish is a total turn off for me. I guess I can live with pink...

But honestly, it makes the foot more unattractive in my opinion. Natural or clear is much nicer.

But I'm more of a sole guy, and don't like the tops all that much anyway.
 
Most people saying red reminds me of this yahoo news clipping I read that said if you're looking to attract a guy initially, wear red, because their eyes/brain are predisposed to finding that color the most sexually appealing/stand-outtish. I guess nails aren't any different. 😀

you're probably right, in fact red is a close second to me. Even when I made this tread I thought to myself I bet everyone's gonna say red
 
I like my feet natural, or just clear polish. Once in a long while, I'll do a french pedicure. But I don't like the way colored polish looks on most people. I'm not a "foot person" myself, but in general, I find natural beauty far more... beautiful... than a bunch of paint slathered across the extremities.

And in response to the whole "red attracts guys" thing... that's why a lot of girls think of bright red nail polish as kinda slutty. It can make a girl look desperate for attention, unLESS you can really pull it off with the matching confidence. And skin tone, heheh.

Well, I don't deny that it does stand out more.

However, I'll look, but it's a total turn off. I guess I'm a very small minority.

Wearing red clothes however is a different story. I likes that.

I'm more of a dark polish kinda girl myself. If not that, I usually prefer nothing. Dark purples or reds or black are my colors of choice. But I guess I relate that to the fact that my mom wears brighter pinks, so now I just can't swing that way.

To me it feels strange though to say you have an absolute color for EVERYONE because different colors look good on different people, and I'd prefer someone to wear whatever color meshes best with their skin tones...whether it be red, black, or nothing at all.

Now I want to know what colors people find grossest to see on others and why.

Yeah, I suppose if you choose the right color for your skin tone, it's not quite as bad to look at.

And to go against the crowd here, I think the grossest color actually is red. 😛

Black is pretty bad too.

Blue is my favorite color but I really don't like it on toes
 
the greater the contrast the better all though chrome is sweet 😛
hot pink
purple
turquoise

those are all good colours

also french pedicure 😛

I don't much care for a lot of makeup in general. A little isn't bad, but some people go way too nuts.

I don't mind clear nail polish, 'cause it only highlights the natural look of feet (or hands for that matter). But I find that colors are a major turn off for me. Especially if the color is starting to come off.

I don't know how that happened for me, but it's just how things turned out. I've never liked nail polish.
 
Red of any color always attracts my eye. My favorite shades of red to see on a girl's toes are Maroon/Burgundy.

It is a world in itself. No right formula.

There are people who carry it well. There are people who 'think' they carry it well.
 
I've been doing some nice Rainbow french pedicures. They look Hot. French look with any color you want, depending how the light hits it. Its my new favorite :redheart:
 
I honestly keep away from like extremely bright colors like neons, and extremely dark ones since I fall into the olive tone category I try to stay in the middle with the types of nail polishes I use 🙂. With that said, I do like medium reds, and different variations of pinks and purples 🙂. It also depends on the season for me as well, if it's fall I aim for more natural colors, and if it's summer the more summery ones.
