well folks, tomorrow at 3pm eastern I'll be heading out on my way across the sea to Paris. One full week of eating fancy french cheese and drinking fancy french wine. Oh yea, there's also this documentary I have to film, but who cares about that? 😀

Anywho, wish me luck! I'll see you all when I get back! :bowing:

lol, before this goes out of control, I don't speak a word of French. Feel free to occupy yourselves while I'm gone by discussing all the bad things that could possibly happen because of this 😛

(rolls eyes...) Dumbass, you're going to need an interpreter, why the hell didn't you ask me prior? I have openings in my schedule for cheap! :jester:

Ok, seriously, here's the scoop on the Parisian scene in a nutshell. "Parisians hate and are rude to Americans..." BS. They hate STUPID Americans who don't try to learn their language. Grab a Barron's guide before you leave and spend a lot of time on the flight over there memorizing. Be polite when you get there. "Je suis americaine, s'il vous plait, aidez moi..." "I am American, please, can you help me ..." Phonetic: je sweez american, si vu play, ahday mwoi."
A lot of them speak English too, esp the younger folks and once they see you're trying will be so helpful. They can spot Americans over there like crazy, we stick out like sore thumbs.

Ooh and if you get a Eurorail pass to see the rest of the continent, take my advice, lock your car~ask me later...
XOXO

Sen enjoy and be safe my friend! Oh yeah bring some BADASSNESS to those frogs while you're at it....

Cya when you return and can't wait to hear some stories, and good luck with the film.

Well folks, one week later and I am back. My first lesson learned is that French folk are really good thieves. Some scumbag broke into our hotel rooms and stole our stuff, including my laptop and Ipod. Needless to say my first impression wasnt a very positive one.

Fortunatly, a week full of new friends, drinking, good food, and of course, sightseeing, more than made up for it 😀

yikes love..sorry that happened to you...gesh thanks for the warning..however i have no interest in visiting France...

well i'm glad you were able to at least have a good time..they didn't steal your wallet???????

Welcome home! sounds like you had fun with that one exception. And I'm sorry I forgot to warn you about the crime in Europe! Last friends I had that rode the Eurorail all over Italy had their car broken into. These theives didn't just gas the rail car and steal all their stuff, they also SWITCHED THEIR UNDERWEAR. Just to add insult to injury, can you imagine?? 😡
XOXO

nah, this guy broke in to the room while we were out. I had my wallet with me at all times 😀 . french thieves arent confrontational. they only steal stuff sneakily it seems, lol.

ironically, we had all that camera equipment with us, all of which was worth many thousands of dollars, and he didnt take any of it :illogical
