well to please red indian i'll give my shallow, narcisstic reply first 😉 ....i like my hair and my eyes...
to be honest: it took awhile to find stuff that i actually liked about myself...i had to grow up and realize that just because i didn't have as much materially as others, that i still had self-worth...and just because i'm not a skinny chick (i sorta resemble the southpark rendition that ray did of me hehee), doesn't mean i'm not desirable and cute....i still fight the urge to duck when someone compliments me if i'm looking okay to them on a particular day...but anyway...over all i'm happy that i grew to be a somewhat nice,honest...somewhat down-to-earth (i can still throw a tantrum that rival's my nephews...but only employ that skill when neccessary)...human being...oh yeah my sense of humor is okay too i guess and i've been told im a good listener.

Some might laugh but...
... even thugh I can be pationet when I feel strongly about something, I consider myself to be pretty layed back and open minded about most things. I also try to give someone the chance to prove themselves before I decide if I don't like them. To often I was juged very qikly, because I didn't wear the hip close (still don't ) or wasn't into the hip music (still don't). A pretty shallow way to decide who your friends are.

I can honestly say this is one of the first threads I've seen lately that isn't a repeat of something from years ago. That's just neato.

....that I like about myself? I suppose we all have one. Mine is a love of raven haired, full lipped southern belles, who are kind and gentle (some where deep down) but also volatile, unpredictable and dominant. I love the fact that they scare me to death while at the same time I am helplessly attracted to them.

Like LITE...What I LIKE about myself is I try to be inclusive by finding common ground & making people feel comfortable & at home.
As a 'Court Jester' in a previous life I take PRIDE in the ability to turn the workplace, or standing in line @ the Licence Branch into something resembling Fun. LIFE is SHORT- Laugh OFTEN!!
I've also been blessed w/ Empathy; I try to remember what it was like to be the Ugly Duckling when I was a Kid...Lookin for work, (I can relate)...homeless, (been there)...Dumped for another guy, (the 1st round's on me).
I'm an ANIMAL LOVER; NUFF SAID.
We are the sum of our experinces which make us, for good or ill, the people we have become today. I count my Blessings, Take care of my 4 legged friend:Truman & try to be a good neighbor, a good friend and the person you call when you just need someone to listen.

I actually had to take a few minutes to think about this one! Shame we can instantly find the bad stuff about ourselves, but some are slow to find the good.
In answer to the question.....
I've come to terms with myself. I'm not perfect, nor will I ever be. I no longer have to be all things to all people in order to be their friend. I am good enough. I don't need a man or anyone else to validate me and that is one of the most liberating realizations I've ever discovered. It came later in life, but better late than never!
I've come to terms with the person I see in the mirror. I see she's a pretty hot BBBW who's spent the last few years getting herself together. No one is responsible for those changes other than God and myself.
I've come to terms with my faith. I don't need a building of people to define me spiritually. I don't need to spend my Sundays being told how bad or imperfect I am. My bible says I was created in the image of my Creator. I would like to think He made me just the way I should be. That is enough for me and anyone else who wants to be with me.
I've come to terms with my abilities as a parent. Me and the kids went through a lot of crap for several years and my son had to leave my home when he was only 17. I'm past the guilt and shame and realize that it was for his own good and at nearly 20, he's a far better man in the group home than he ever could've been at my house. My daughter and I go through our changes, but being one of 7 girls, I understand the changes and know it's mostly part of the process of life. I think she's growing into a fine young woman overall. My kids have made me proud and I'm glad they're part of my life. I couldn't find two better people to know in this world.
