What is a “good tickler”?

To everyone out there… In your opinion, how would you classify someone as a “good tickler”?
What do you look for in someone to say “Oh yeah, I absolutely love the way he/she tickles and want to see more!”
Another silly way to look at it is… Say, for example, you are the manager of a tickling company, and you have several candidates applying for the job of “ tickler”. What qualifications and characteristics would you look for to make you higher them and keep them?

One who….

can get the most laughter out of the ticklee.

Knows how to explore the ticklee’s body to find the most ticklish spots.

Is able to vary their tickle technique based on laughter from the ticklee.

Has a playful disposition and helps the ticklee enjoy the experience.

I like a variety for sure, as it keeps things interesting and I like exploring the unique approaches of new people. That being said, some of my favorite characteristics in a ler so far are:

• Someone who feels driven to tickle. I don't like feeling like people are doing something for me just because I want to take a turn as a lee. I want them to truly be enjoying themselves.
• Someone who is simultaneously affectionate and cruel. There's something at the nexus between those two seemingly contradictory behaviors that affects me like nothing else. Someone who will sweetly tickle me crazy until they are tired.
• Someone who has less micro-fixations or obsessions. To be clear, I don't mind playing within some of those bounds, but they are not my first choice as they can be very limiting to the experience, and I find many people with those tend to almost have a narrow script they are trying to act out rather than having a relaxed organic experience.
• Someone who is just as happy tickling with their hands as they are with tools.
• Someone who will tease or play mind games with me.
• Someone who is willing to tickle me to extreme limits and will be okay without me having a safeword.
• The right chemistry–There's no easy way to define what I'm talking about here, but I think most get it. That near magical, ethereal link that two people can share with no discernible reason.

It's a lot. Being able to make the ticklee trust you. Being able to make them feel so at ease, they won't raise their defenses, which would cause them to not be as ticklish.

Someone who has a decent knowledge of the body. Someone who knows how to manage their own touch and find out what areas respond well to the lightest feather touch, or the most vicious raking.

Someone who knows how to communicate to keep the other feeling like they are being taken care of. And someone who checks in from time to time. Makes a safe word that's easy to say in any situation, as to make the experience fun. Also helps if you have a good sense of humor to make other lee laugh when they try to resist 😉

It's a bit to balance, but once you get used to all of them, they all become second nature!

I have my own list of what I think.
Communication skills - Discussion before a session is vital.
Respectful of all boundaries - Trust during a session vital.
Once a session is underway - Be playful, adventurous, cheeky, challenging, and most importantly, have FUN. 🪶 😊

I think there is a lot of ways in how one can be classed as a 'good' tickler, and I also think it's subjective to personally opinion, between the two people playing, what some might think makes a good tickler, others might not, ultimately it comes down to the connection both people have with each other, and what both are looking to get out of it.

Saying that, in my opinion their are basic principle's that makes a 'good' tickler, just being respectful, fun, trustworthy, attentive are good traits, and also traits a person should have in general.

I think we get caught up in this idea of what makes the 'perfect' tickler and it puts unnecessary pressure on ourselves when tickling(and that's speaking from experiences when I have done that to myself) we often worry, are we good? or not? what if we don't get the reaction we hoped for? does it mean I am a terrible tickler? and not necessarily in my eyes, we are constantly working to hone our craft, and what doesn't work on one person might be super effective on another. I often make the mistake in comparing my skills to 'other' ticklers I know or see on here or in person, and it can get in your head. Over the years I have gotten better at not allowing that to enter my head.

I think the main thing is to not think to much about am I a good tickler, and just to have fun, and embrace the moment! and enjoy the show with the person you are tickling! its fine to reflect, I often do after, but I try not to over think anything.

• Makes a lee feel safe and comfortable before/during/after
• Respects boundaries
• Does homework before the sesh, and figures out what a lee wants, doesnt want, expects, limits etc
• Can produce reactions from their lee
• Doesnt just tunnel vision a body part because its their own fetish. Feet usually
• Good at the mental part, not just physical. Build up. Teasing. Anticipation.
• Can provide pleasant aftercare (if required)
• Mixes it up. Soft, gentle, digs in, moves around
• Respects them. Period.
• Flexible as needed
• Good looking. Luckily Im gorgeous (Im joking obviously, dont stone me ffs)

I reckon thats a decent blue print. 🤷‍♂️
