Well said, Wolf. I agree with most of it. Not sure how you are getting racism from birthers, though. To me, that's right up there with the other wackos. But you're spot on about the conspiracy theorists.

Based on statements made, signs waved, and a certain segment of the population that wholeheartedly embraced that particular little worm that Hillary Clinton dangled in the primary. Plenty of people disavow the racist element in Birtherism. That's fine, but you'll never convince me there's not a segment of the Birther movement that's doing it purely because he's black. It's all they've got left to try to invalidate an election they wish they could make unhappen. Unseating him in 2012 isn't enough. They don't want a divorce, they want an annulment.

The analogy of cutting deals with mob bosses and drug dealers is fallacious.
In those cases, there's always someone bigger, someone badder that's being pursued. In this case, OBL was the biggest, the baddest. Who was he going to flip on? And there's no way this administration would take the chance of being taken down by such a deal. No one who's smart enough to engineer such a conspiracy would be so foolish as to take such a risk.
But in a conspiracy theorist's mind, the conspirators can be both brilliant and corrupt enough to engineer a global cover-up, and foolish and illogical enough not to consider the consequences.

And how do you know OBL was the baddest? He was the biggest mouthpiece I'll give you that. But exactly how do you really know he was the biggest and baddest member of Al-Quaeda? Because Bush said so? Where is the proof of that being true? Just because someone is good at standing in front of a camera doesn't mean they're the ringleader, does it?

If Al-Quaeda begins and ends with Bin Laden, then the group would disband and be scattered. Terror in the Middle East would cease.......peace to all right? No......I don't think so.

The government has no concern about the consequences of a cover up. They are the government and they operate way above the law and can do as they please. They chose not to provide proof that Bin Laden died under the story......I mean circumstances they claim.

At some point (in this case, the point where Al-Qaeda admitted he was dead), the conspiracy theory becomes less about the conspiracy, and more about the conspiracy theorist, and their motivations to continue their outrage.

The goalposts move from "There's no proof! Show me proof!!" to "Why was the proof so late in coming? What were they hiding??". Sound familiar? It happened a few weeks ago, too.

Proof, as the theorist calls it, can never and will never be provided to their satisfaction. Because their definition of proof changes to suit their desires. The proof is whatever the theorist believes can't or won't be shown: a long form Birth Certificate (forgery!), confirmation from a terrorist's own group (lies!). No matter what is shown, something is being hidden. Otherwise, they'd have to shut up about it.
And they make it clear, that's just not going to happen.

And how do you know that proof provided in a timely fashion wouldn't suffice? There you go trying to out think those who disagree with you; unfortunately it falls face-flat because I can't speak for anyone else (like you attempt to) but it would've been enough proof for me. That makes no sense whatsoever , they released photos of the house after the raid , they released photos of his guards who were shot dead but they won't release the picture of him ? Illogical .
