According to CNN and KTLA:

LOS ANGELES -- Pop star Michael Jackson has been taken to UCLA Medical Center by ambulance suffering from cardiac arrest, fire officials confirm.

Los Angeles Fire Department Captain Steve Ruda said paramedics responded to a 911 call at Jackson's home around 12:26 p.m. He was not breathing when they arrived. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda says.

It's unclear what he was being treated for or what his current condition may be.

Regardless of your personal feelings about him and things he may or may not have done....he is still a MUSIC ICON and beloved all over the world, and is the only performer that could be compared to Elvis in worldwide popularity.

I don't know what is going to happen.....but I wish him well and a speedy recovery.

(MYFOX NATIONAL) - TMZ is reporting that Michael Jackson was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles. Reports are that he was in cardiac arrest and that CPR was administered in the ambulance.

The 9-1-1 call was made from his home in Holmby Hills, Calif., at 12:21 p.m. PDT, according to TMZ.

Family members are on their way to UCLA Medical Center to see Jackson. Jackson's father, Joe, told TMZ that Jackson "is not doing well." Another family member said he is in "really bad shape."
 
WOW! In the rush to get the story that x17 website is saying he may have already passed away.

If it turns out so......WOW. That would be two huge icons in one day, and 3 in a week.

I certainly hope he is well, I'm pulling for ya MJ...regardless of the past.

Holy crap on a stick! I was never a fan, but damn is this shocking! Just... I am speechless.
 
One news station is reporting him dead another is reporting him still alive. So I don't know what's really going on myself. I'm not really a fan, but this is really surprising.

Nothing on CNN yet other than Jackson suffered cardiac arrest, but that his condition could not yet be discussed. Stay tuned.
 
I have not read the AP confirm it, nor CNN or any other major news organization.

But things are starting to look like it, the way the hospital looks like it is preparing for a bum-rush, the movement associated with it.

I love MJ's early music, and like I said...regardless of his recent problems and shortcomings he is the only WORLDWIDE ICON in entertainment.

This will be a huge blow not to fans in the US, but to the world.

WOW. I am in shock.....and it will get worse (the shock) if it is true that he is dead.

This may sound extremely corny...but listening to Michael Jackson's music has gotten me through some pretty rough times in my life. I do't know what it was about his songs, but they always managed to put me in better spirits when I was feeling depressed or angry.

Its because of this that I am such an admirer of his work...and despite all the allegations against him, he is a wonderful performer that I am particularly fond of.

Like Robace said, I'm in shock reading this...
 
Everythings' per TMZ--no one else is confirming right now. I'll wait to see who else confirms other than them. Either is breaking news on their part, or they're going to be in serious trouble.
 
Some rumors are that he has died.

But CNN HAS NOT CONFIRMED IT YET.
 
CNN right now has just reported he is in a coma.....

perhaps this is the last step before they call it.

But as of right now, CNN is only confirming he is there, suffered cardiac arrest and is in a coma.

Still waiting.......WOW. Really they always seem to happen in three's. McMahon, Fawcet and now Micheal Jackson (seemingly)

Yeah, I was going to mention this as well and probably should have. It's pretty irresponsible for a newspaper to pick up a story from TMZ and run with it. In any case, before this night is over, we should know something one way or the other.
 
L.A. Times and CBS News is confirming that Micheal Jackson has passed away.

WOW. I think it really is true now.

CNN is working on confirming it.

WTF? I walk in the door and my sister is texting me that Michael Jackson is dead. Why in bloody hell would she even care? Is he dead, is he alive? Is he a zombie? What's up?
