For those who support piracy of clips...please read

Hello Turtle,

I royally hate the wait, but some sites have a week long credit card vetting process before it can be used to buy clips or memberships from a particular site. TA's paysite has that particular setup. I suggest giving that a try, it does sacrifice the impulse purchase buys but it may limit the charge back issue.

My two cents.

Your are turning it around. You brought up the wrestling saying a 13 yo watching it could get a fetish for asses and testicles which is absurd because wrestling is not sexually related

Not for you. For other people it probably is! And guess what, a tickling clip probably WON'T be sexually related for most 13 year olds.

It most certainly is. Rule 34, an' all that. I just watched a documentary on dungeons in NYC where the topic of a wrestling fetish came up, so it's not like I'm just waving my hands and saying "everything is a fetish to someone".

And there's really no way a producer can be "more sensitive" to minors accessing his clips, because short of being there in the room with the person making the purchase, it's impossible to police. The only way to solve that problem is to get rid of porn. yeah, THAT'LL happen.

Being a psychologist has nothing to do here. You just can't compare professional wrestling to a sexual related fetish like a tickling fetish, period. They are two completely different things.

Ahem... http://clips4sale.com/category/79/WRESTLING

Just about everything can be a fetish for someone out there. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to start my own tickling video company since apparently all producers are millionaires.

I love the part where he keeps saying "nobody knows just how much the producers make" in a thread where most of the people contributing ARE producers. I'm quite sure said producers know how much money they're making.

Jeff, thanks for the stats on the business side. That was interesting and informative to hear.

I agree with the comments about legal action being impractical. Not because of the fetish nature of the clips, but rather, hiring attorneys is not practical for a small organization, and the expenditure will be much greater than the return. Big outfits like the music producers do not hire attorneys because they have “money to burn.” Big companies don’t like spending money without a return, either, but for them, spending some money on this makes sense because their total volume of losses is so massive. If all tickling producers were one company, that company would have large total losses as well, but even then I doubt that the economics would make sense. Keep in mind that while the music industry spends a lot to minimize the problem and stem the tide somewhat, it remains a huge one for them. Most high-schoolers seem to have 1000 songs on their ipods. They did not each spend $1.25 per song, or $1,250!

I don’t pretend to know the answer, from the producer’s standpoint. The one comforting observation I might offer is, the nature of the internet (easy worldwide and anonymous access) provides both the blessing that makes clip production possible and the curse that allows people to steal. Tough as it is to be a producer under the status quo, it was more difficult, and for the most part, impossible, before the internet was available for use by most people.

From a consumer’s standpoint, we should all remind ourselves that stealing clips is stealing. No one who does so should comfort themselves with the usual trite excuses (the seller makes a lot of money anyway, the tttony excuse that the seller is bad because he thinks that what they sell is bad so stealing from them is ok, etc.) Excuses for stealing and for those who steal are lame.

LOL, really? not even with bondage involved and full nudity? get real

Wrestling as a sport has nothing to do with sex or fetish.

Well, many others , non producers, don't. But we started figuring that out.

Great, so let's expose all kids to porn, who cares, as long as WE can have our porn.

Most clips don't have full nudity - but even if they do, I still doubt they'd scar anybody for life! For Christ's sake, kids that age watch "Faces of Death" just to be cool and don't get scarred for life, while I'm with 33 am too squeamish to look at it.

I bet you someone somewhere is jerking off to it.

Once again: it's the parent's responsibility to keep children from porn, not the people's who produce porn.

A) hyperbole, and B) it's simply not possible to completely either eliminate porn from the world nor completely shield it from minors. If you think you've got some magic solution for this, please, by all means, do share it with us plebes.

You didn't figure out shit. You pulled some numbers out of your ass and ran with it like it was the truth.

I was amazed to read about this, and I'm glad that Turtleboy included some of the background information on this piracy. I know someone mentioned paypal for buying clips, (Which I've done from both Felix Dartmouth at Archw and Chrissy at Cuffgirl a number of times), and that someone else mentioned it's not always practical. My two pennorth is why not make a site where you can allow people to purchase clips via paypal, or credit card, or postal cheque? It cuts out Clips4Sale (Which I find very impractical as I've tried a number of times to buy tickling clips from there only to be rejected because I'm using debit and not credit!), which means the producers don't suffer that 40% loss right from the starting gate.

Because PayPal apparently doesn't allow anything remotely adult-related and is likely to shut down a producer's account, freeze his/her assets, and even impose a fine. It's happened to a few producers in the past, myself included (although I didn't get fined back then).

Also, due to the electronic nature of the product, such forms of payment aren't necessarily practical. C4S provides the infrastructure needed for downloading clips after paying for them. Another site would have to be designed specifically to support this as well. Not sure how it would be possible with PayPal. Personally, I used PayPal for orders of physical videos (videotapes and DVDs) until PayPal shut me down, but all PayPal had to do was take care of the payment and send me the shipping information. I processed and shipped the orders myself. Clips are a different story. Unless one sent them by email or DVD or something, which would be really inconvenient.

Then again, maybe there's a way of doing it that would actually work well for both parties. I just don't know what is it.

I know the internet porn problem is not of easy solution, but it seems to me that many don't really care if minors get exposed to it so easily.

The 35-50 grand a year figure was suggested by Jeff 😉

But many other have full nudity and they are all available on daily motion to minors, but you don't seem to think it's a big deal. Even without nudity a bondage tickle torture clip is sexually related anyway.

jerking off to a Olympic games sport?, LOL well I guess some people see porn everywhere LOL, maybe jerking off to swimmers and athletics athletes too? LOL

Clips shouldn't appear on Dailymotion in the first place. I sure wouldn't want my own clips to appear on such sites, and I most certainly don't allow it.

I know, I am surprised there are tons there. Are you guys not worried that most of your clips are available on dailymotion anyway? you only talked about piracy, what about dailymotion? in the end they are for free on daily motion as well, you can even post them on facebook from DM.
