Every woman has them. These are the guys that listen when she calls to vent about stuff.
The guys who remember every detail about her life.
The guys who are always a reliable ride to the airport.
The guys who bring over the pint of Ben and Jerry's, with spoon, when she calls about her latest break up.
The guys who sit with her and watch the latest romantic comedy starring Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman, and even paid for the popcorn.
The guys who go into all of the boutiques and fashion stores and give honest opinions about what she trying on because her boyfriend wouldn't set foot in a place like that.
The guys who make her feel better about anything, great or small, important or trivial, sad or happy, simply by talking, listening, being honest, being there for her and giving the best hugs anyone could ever ask for and asking for little, if anything in return.
Every woman has them.
So, to the women, I ask: What makes a good guy friend? Who's your best guy friend? How did you meet? What do you do together? Would you ever consider your guy friend for a romantic relationship?
And to the men, I ask: Are you a guy friend to anyone? Who? Do you enjoy it? Do you ever wish it was more than a platonic friendship? What do you feel you get out of the friendship?
I look forward to responses. 🙂
