Name: Michael
Age: Mid/Late 20s
Nationality: American
Genus/Species: Homo sapien, past that doesn't matter. When advised, I general check "white guy" on official gov't forms
Location: Switch between Washington state and Idaho
Grew Up: Washington and California
Who I Wanted To Be Growing Up: Never had anyone specific in mind. Certain attributes, sure, but not a "specific" person.
Outlook on life: Painful realist
Military Experience: None
Hobbies: Writing poetry, prose, plays, philosophy, occasional hedonism, linguistics and foreign language, gaming, studying law
Hair color: Dark brown
Eyes: Green
Height: 6 feet
Weight : Just shy of 190
Build: Average. Boring, but true. I work out, but am not especially muscular
Piercings: None
Former Jobs: Library staff, graduate level business prof assisstant, ditch digger, sawmill operator, paperboy, part time tickle shoot organizer/webmaster
Nicknames: Satan's love child
Education: Accepted into Yale undergrad, University of Washington undergrad/graduate...rest is a blur. My education experience in this country has blown me away. Mark Twain was correct. Have a degree here and there in wonderously bizarre fields that don't have anything to do with each other
Favorite movies: Depends on genre...action: The Matrix, comedy:
Monty Python's Life of Brian, romantic comedy: As Good as it gets, drama: Det Sjundande Inseglet and Persona by Ingmar Bergman (definitely a reason in and of itself to learn Swedish) horror: Ringu
Actress That Turns Me On: Natalie Portman
Sexiest Woman: My fiancee (ok, a gagging answer, to be sure. But to me, she is the beginning and the ending chapters in my life that mattered)
Favorite Books: Kejsarn av Portugalien by Lagerlof. Amazing emotional story, has stuck with me all these years.
Fave Comic Book: Love 8 Ball, some crazy shit. About the most irreverent thing I've ever come across. For superhero types, The
Dark Knight returns graphic novel by Miller was very impressive. And I have a soft spot for Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. Couldn't get into Vasquez's other stuff for some reason though.
Favorite NFL Team : Don't have an affinity for any team. I don't really watch profession sports except for playoff time, when it actually "counts" I just like the see the best teams (not players) square off under pressure and really compete. That is a rush.
Admires: Respect of ones environment, in all forms and manner
When Annoyed: I rarely show annoyance
When really annoyed: No specific manners, just a nice chat with the offender.
On The Death Penalty: All things are relative
On Human Equality: A human is a human is a human is a human. Don't care where you live, where you used to live, what you drive, how you talk. The Dalai Lama stated that humans have infinity more things in common than they have differences, no matter our backgrounds. I believe firmly in this concept.
Favorite Food: Depends on my mood. I guess I like what most red blooded American males like to eat.
Favorite Drink: Coke and Dr.Pepper. For slightly harder, I hate beer and wine, but can tolerate Guiness. For even harder, I drink rum. Straight, from the bottle, no ice, the way we were meant to (ARRrrrrrr) 😱
Favorite Desert: Cheesecake of varying kinds
Favorite Fruit: Apple (I'm from Washington state, guess that wasn't predictable)
I Do Believe: I believe in the relative nature of all things to each other. It's a very simple concept, yet very difficult to explain in detail.
Word Of advice: Always hope for the best, and expect the best out of your fellow man. Always plan and prepare for the opposite.
Favorite music: Pink Floyd (all time favorite as a comprehensive body of work), Nirvana, Tool, Modest Mouse, Soundgarden, Soul Coughing, all kinds of jazz. I like funk, I like intelligence. I don't have any particular favorite jazz artists, I just like to turn on the radio some nights when it's cool outside, and listen to some beautiful person spilling their heart out over the airways, with a bottle of rum in one hand, and my lady in the other.
