This is a general statement not directed at anyone, and I hope will be taken as such.
Let's say, for argument's sake, that the "troll" population has increased recently. I think to call attention to such, and to create twelve page long threads about it, only makes it worse. It validates the "trolls", and what they are trying to accomplish. I cannot tell people how many "trolls" I have dealt with during my eight years here, who have flamed me about everything, from stories, to P and R posts, etc. If I called attention to every time I was harrassed or flamed by a troll, many of my threads would have been the subject of such. If I was attacked by a troll, I did one of two things, or sometimes both. I placed the person on ignore, and, if the flame was particularly nasty, I reported it to Myriads or another mod. By doing these things, I was able to take control of the situation, by not allowing myself to get into it with "trolls".
Again, I don't know if the "troll" population has increased here lately, or not. To be quite honest, I have many more important things to worry about at this point. All I will say is this. Take it from someone who has been harassed by "trolls" many times during my eight years here. The best thing to do if you're harassed by a "troll" is to put them on ignore, and to not call attention to them. If one ignores them, you have the power, and are dealing with it in a positive way. If one calls attention to them, the troll then gets the power, and is accomplishing what they want to. They are getting a rise out of the legitimate members, and are serving to create an uncivil tone on the board, which is counterproductive for all.
I hope my post will serve to be productive. That is my intent.

Ok....Myriads has enough to deal with. Do you all really want him to get pissed about this when he has already has had enough to put up with.
Trust me, it takes a lot to get him to the point he tells people to stop out in public, normally he will keep it behind the scenes as not to publicly chastise people.
I'd rather the remaining participants in this fray to just quit and agree to disagree rather than to have this go on and to further push this situation.

PS. I am glad that the forum can soon go on with normality without the previous troublemakers around. I too was hoping the ignore them route would work....but I do feel those persons that continually come back under multiple names may find a way to annoy again, and it is going to be how we deal with it (them) in the future that will determine the next step.

You did the same exact thing that you get so upset about when everyone else does and now you're backtracking to convince people what you really did was make some big important point about hypocrisy.
You're getting mad at very minor shit and making yourself look incredibly fucking ridiculous by trying to turn it around on everyone else.
