My wife has breast cancer. It's in its earliest stage, so there's no need for chemo or radiation. She'll most likely have a masectomy. I'll know more on Wednesday when she and I have a talk with the doctor. She's a strong lady and she's taking it well, but I feel like I'm still being shielded from the worst of the news. There's so much politics in today's medical profession, they're actually worried she or I will commit suicide if they disclose too much. So we have to have this little kumbaya session.

Ladies, get those mammograms. I'd hate to think of this going unknown and untreated.

Drew..my sister-in-law is a breast cancer survivor..i will keep your wife in my thoughts..thank goodness she caught it early..she should have a complete recovery..pm me anytime..

A dear friend of mine had gone through breast cancer and survived it, so I can kind of relate to how you must feel drew70.

I will keep your wife in my thoughts and pray for a swift recovery. I hope everything goes well for you both.

As Isabeau said, thank the gods she caught it in its early stages.

My best thoughts and wishes to you and your wife Drew.
You will both be in my thoughts....
Take care my friend, and stay strong.

Rob

I am so, so sorry drew. The fact they found it this early is definitely in her favor, and with a good medical support team she should make it through this alright (a little worn and beaten, perhaps, but alive and strong). You both will be in my thoughts and my prayers. Please keep us updated on how she's doing.

Sorry to hear about this, Drew. It sucks, but sounds like there's still a lot to hope for.

Let's all pray things turn out well!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you both Drew.

(((Drew))) I'm sorry to hear about this. You'll both be in my thoughts and prayers. My mom is a survivor. In fact, she's just finishing her 5th bout with it over a 20 year period. It's not fun. But, you can get through it. You know how to find me if you need to vent.

I'm very sorry to hear this, drew, my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife. I hope her procedure goes smoothly, and that she has a speedy recovery.

Mitch

I sincerely wish your wife and yourself the best possible outcome. You know where I'm at if you need anything.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife drew. It is good they caught it in its earliest stages. There is a lot they can do. Peace and wuv.

So sorry to hear this, Drew. We'll be keeping the two of you in our thoughts. You know where we are if you need anything.

Oh crap honey~that sucks! I am so sorry! You know, it's not the death sentence it used to be, especially caught early. You know how to reach me if you need anything...

My mom had a full, old fashioned radical mastectomy at age 45, and lived and throve, and had fun, for another 39 years after the surgery!
I know you're Christian, so I'll ask this; would you object to my doing a healing spell/prayer according to my Ancient Khazar Rite, which is a pagan tradition different from Wicca? There is nothing anti-Christian in the prayer or ritual, I promise. I've done these for others on here and they have seemed to have some positive effect.

I don't know you, but will say my prayers for you. Sadly, breast cancer took my own mother but I know so many other survivors who are doing more than just surviving, they are living happily

Best wishes for you two getting through this! If I were the praying type, I'd send some your way.

Tank, I don't object to prayers of any kind, brother. I totally appreciate it. Thanks.

Drew my brother you are both in our prayers...

Tracy and I are here for you....

I am saddened to hear your news. Your wife and yourself are in my thoughts. I hope for the best possible outcome and that her recovery is speedy and complete.

I'm very sorry to hear about your wife, but it's good news it's been found so early on that treatment is available. My mother wasn't so lucky and it's been 11 years since she's been gone.

I wish only for the very best of outcomes and I wish for your strength as you support her through this.
