Some will say WOW others will say ICK 😛 I admit I flip-flop here....
I believe that's what I said... all be it in an, unnecessarily long winded way. This is a thread based on opinion. There is no scientific way to decide if something is appealing or appalling on this subject. The truth is that a certain percentage (if not the majority) of women who get Tats crave attention, and the ink gets them attention. Excessive Tattooing makes a woman look dirty, and there are certain men who are drawn to dirty looking women.
Cherries on the shoulder blade, Butter fly on the ankle, something on the shoulder OK, but when a woman coats her body with ink it simply becomes ugly (as well as asinine, and IS something they WILL regret when they are older.
I'm 50/50 on this --- I agree it often does appear cheap & attention-grabbing rather than artistic, original & cool ----
and a LOT of people do regret it later, either because
(they get fat... or sag.... 🙄 and a tattoo is NOT appealling
when it's distorted by cheesecake....
)
But *SOME people ----
who better stay in freakin' great shape
---- do look really good with artistic ink expressions ----
<a href="http://www.glitter-graphics.com"><img src="http://dl3.glitter-graphics.net/pub/678/678993w6iup09xpk.jpg" width=239 height=279 border=0></a> though some of that looks quite painful, including the dangle....
Pretty, yes, but...OUCH dammit!!!

if that gets caught on a button, or... a beard...
<a href="http://www.glitter-graphics.com"><img src="http://dl4.glitter-graphics.net/pub/1358/1358174mlaikvap1i.jpg" width=292 height=409 border=0></a>This one --- Could be quite beautiful
but --- can be too much, hard to tell,
I'll probably hate the shoulder circle, looks like butcher markings.... She's young, she's wearing black & white, her coloring is B&W so it all blends.... Now.... While she's young & thin....
Wings are gorgeous but --- Too big? And look horrible with a bra.... the wings could be cool but ---- As you mature ---- tacky maybe.... (I'm 50-50, like I said
😛 )
You don't realize when you're 20-25 you'll very likely have a very different perspective when you're 40-45 --- even if that is young today ---- You
may still like the tats,
....or you might wish they weren't quite as large, or as prominent,
.....or you no longer like the color/s....
.... or your tastes change, and you wish you'd done something different, more subtle, or
(not done it at all....)
People pay "BIG BUCKS" to *REMOVE tattoos ------ Even when they're done right to begin....
Some people look like Walking Canvases, Human Works of Art --- and that can be beautiful but ---- too much is a turn-off, it says "too extreme" in my book ---
<a href="http://www.glitter-graphics.com"><img src="http://dl6.glitter-graphics.net/pub/1373/1373526kd2yrje8ct.jpg" width=320 height=189 border=0></a>
This looks "hot" at a glance but... it's a pose with contrast.... Remove the gorgeous woman and you have...???
And I hate faces in tattoos ---- or
RED color, looks bloody.... Depends upon the guy, and the design....
I hate the design on that guy's arm, looking closely...
I also don't like the horizontal (?) cut-off at the "sleeve", that's too abrupt for me ---- I understand guys do that so when in a business shirt they can LOOK professional (and keep certain more traditional jobs, same for women) but I like a gradual, subtle blend IF they must do it....
Angelina Jolie is Drop-Dead Gorgeous (imho) and her tats are --- what only someone that thin & DDG could get away with (!!)
😛
I'd look like a complete idiot...
Everyone's idea of beauty is obviously different ---
<a href="http://www.glitter-graphics.com"><img src="http://dl3.glitter-graphics.net/pub/512/512013pz4i5kc4o1.jpg" width=384 height=255 border=0></a> I first looked at this and thought
---- UGH, she needs a shower to get that off,
but I can also see how it adds to her individuality --- with the hair, etc.,
it's a somewhat unique combination ---- in the FIRST picture in this thread with her WITH/WITHOUT I like her much better WITHOUT the tattoos.... Here, different angle, it grew on me ----
If they're happy and can be successful and support themselves in a career which doesn't require a traditional appearance, why not ----
I doubt I'd ever do it myself, but I (sometimes) appreciate it on others...
But it would make me hesistate to date someone --- from a distance it can be beautiful BUT
It's always struck me as often low-brow/bad judgement,
something practically permanent that's done without long-term thought too often....
Add all the above and
I really like the idea of temporary body art 😀 as someone else said...
