Hairdresser turns robber into sex slave.

You say people... but I only remember one person joking about it...

You are going to get people who are touched in the head no matter where you are. ANYONE that jokes about a situation like this or like that girl's situation needs therapy. All the excuses, the "oh I was just playing around"s or whatever else doesn't cut it. They aren't right. Period. And just because someone (or maybe someones. I may have missed the rest of the sickos getting on and saying their peace) decided to partake in this does not make it suddenly right.

You are taking these statements as if they are aimed entirely at women. I am well aware that it is not just women making the laws. It is not just women making the disgusting jokes. The majority of a lot of it is men. But that doesn't at all change the point of anything that I am saying, nor does it in ANY way take away the validity of my point.

You'll have to go and find the thread and take a gander. It's in the tickling discussion area.

I'm taking these statements from the standpoint OF a woman. I can't talk from a man's point of view seeing as how I'm not one. And I haven't contested your point. I agreed with your point that it's not okay. No need to act as though I think you're wrong.

Perhaps its just the way of the internet but that is almost how you are coming across. And I don't mean for you to try to look at it from the point of a man- I just want to point out that I am not AIMING it at women only.

I understand, I get snippy sometimes. I apologize.

To tell you the truth, the woman was stupid. Defending her co workers, salon, and money is one thing, but the whole rape thing for three days is downright bizzare.

I could just imagine if the shop I get my hair cut in, which has all women by the way, was held up. Chances are, they would probably comply and give up the money, but even if someone there did know martial arts, and could disarm a bandit, they wouldnt make him their sex slave for three days. They would just disarm him, call the cops, and let the law deal with it.

One of the most bizzare cases I've ever heard of.

Mitch

I couldn't have worded it any better myself! Thank you kind sir.

Haha. Funny.

You do hate speech on double standards for humor in a situation. Awesome dude. Great fucking job.

Who are your top 3 TMF girls you would kidnap and keep in a shed in your backyard for 18 years for your crazy tickling fantasies? Go on, be honest.

Yes, it was all a joke Aimee. Except for my keeping you in a shed in my backyard. I'm prepping it for you now! Plenty of :hmm: will be had.

Haha. Funny.

You do hate speech on double standards for women but are yourself guilty of belittling a woman who was raped. Awesome dude. Great fucking job.

The hell are you talking about? What woman who was raped have I belittled? That's never happened online or in real life. Rape is a heinous crime.

Find me this proof of me talking smack about my "belittling a woman who was raped"...you won't find it, because it doesn't exist. Great fucking job indeed.

And yet we sentence people to those exact things every day... even for something like marijuana possession. >_>

Um...I've never heard of a rape being handed down as a punishment for anything. Imprisonment, yes, but not exactly the same type of imprisonment we're talking about here.

Every person who posted in that thread was joking about it.

I get it that this is some serious bidniss. Of course, if someone said to me, "Lyz, oh my god, I was held captive and raped," I'd never say, "ZOMG so funneh!" Maybe it is wrong to joke about it. I can get on board with that. My whole point from the gate was that people aren't making light of THIS terrible event and not the other. There's no double standard going on right here right now. People, specifically Sandrock who cast the first stone in this thread about making light of the situation because the victim is male, made jokes about the chick held for 18 months in a shed. People are making jokes about this. It's same-same. Wrong-wrong, or okay-okay - it's the same thing on both sides. That is my point.

Hows about refreshing the browser sunshine stardust?

Both of the stories referenced set off my BS detector a bit... The first one in particular.

They both also seem to originate at life.ru, which doesn't exactly look like the most reliable news site.

Gotta say, it did look a bit too good to be true. 😉

We don't specifically say "hey, when you go to prison you are gonna get raped" but sexual assault is one of the most prevalent experiences in major US prisons (county jails for small time, small term offenders not included)
I'm aware that this goes on, that doesn't mean we hand it out as a sentence.

Why the fuck doesn't this happen to me when I hold up hair salons????

GGGRRRRR!!!!!

You have to admit, it is still part and parcel of the deterrent that is doing time. Whether we officially sanction it as part of the sentence or not.

Yeah I guess. Personally I would just not want to go to jail rather than not mind going to jail as long as I don't my asshole enlarged in the process.

I didn't say it was the only deterrent. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't enjoy doing time, even if there was no bum-faggotry taking place.

I'm sorry, but that is hot, AND funny! It was like an S&M porn plot turned reality! Also, I have little sympathy for people who attempt to rob others. This was a twisted form of vigilante justice. Was it right? No, but in "civilized society" vigilante justice never is.

I hate people trying to get a shortcut to get by in life. People who rob others are desperate, and have no regard for the hard-working man or woman they're attempting to rob. Even in a lousy economy, there's ways to work within the system to get money legally. The Objectivist in me tells me that what that robber did was evil. He had people at gunpoint, compromising their life (most precious, priceless gift.) to acquire money (man-made concept to assign worth by "nickel-and-diming" almost anything.). For those who would argue that he only wanted the money, he pointed a loaded gun (life-taking weapon), at others to achieve his means. Gun safety tells me that I never point a weapon at anything or anyone I don't intend to shoot, because of what a gun can do. Through his actions, not necessarily intent, he took others' lives into his hands out of greed, and he was fortunate to have come away with his life intact, with only a few injuries to his pride/manhood, figuratively and literally.

Now, to play devil's advocate, she was a hero the moment she disabled the robber, because you cannot appease evil. To give in to his demands would be giving him control over the lives of everyone there, allowing him to believe he could do this again to achieve whatever means he wanted, but she disabled and restrained him (C'mon, a frickin' YELLOW BELT??? That's one step above a white!). That's as far as it should've gone. There were plenty of witnesses to speak for her to account for what happened. What she did after that was wrong. The article makes no reference to her motives, but she imposed her will and control over another's. Rape is evil. She'll pay for what she did, as well. I don't know if she'll have LEARNED anything from the incident, since many will probably view her as a hero, choosing to overlook her wrongdoing, but they both made their beds and have to sleep in them.

I have a lot less sympathy for the robber, since he should be grateful that he lived through the incident.

rofl ... they both deserve what they get for being caught by the Russain police in the first place. Thier lucky the commandant didnt just take them outside and shoot them.

ITT: Sexism.

And her name would be Olga...

I raped it.

I guess what we have learned today is that you shouldn't rob people. Bad things happen. The End.

He got three days of sex and all he had to do was walk into a shop with a gun.

I think the moral of the story here is robbery is good.

This is true....but it's still not good to rob people lol.

That's the thing though; he didn't even rob anyone. He walked into a shop with a gun, and was subsequently Viagra'd and "raped".

brb gun/ shop

What if those three days consisted of sodomy by curling iron? How much fun would that be? Oh, my virgin anus.
