In the case of tickling clips, I agree with you. I can see where she's coming from, though. In a lot of more mainstream porn, I think they do tend to seek out average-looking guys.

I've wondered about this myself. I guess producers don't want to have to pay an extra model who may not even really know what they're doing when the producer has their own hands and a better feel for what the audience is looking for?

Also, the focus seems to usually be on the 'lee, so it's not as important. I'd say most people that are buying clips are male 'lers so they're not looking at the male 'ler in the video.

That said, nothing to me is worse than someone tickling a chick with a fucking mask on. That shit is just weird as hell to me.

I have to say the m/m videos usually have hot guys in them, if you're into that.

I quoted this in it's entirety because it's so spot-on. As a producer the impression you get from the beginning is that women don't buy clips, so there's no point in even trying to please them, it's all about the male consumer and what he wants to see. And he doesn't want to see another guy, much less a guy who might be more attractive; bad enough that lucky SOB gets to be in the video touching the pretty girl, he's gotta be handsome too? Not fair, and not a turn-on . Hell, male producers in this thread have noted that they often film themselves only from the neck down, so the focus is on the 'lee. As a woman who's favorite part of a M/F clip is the evil look on the face of the 'ler I **hate** when I can't see his face 😡, but I completely understand why it's filmed that way. Having said that, it's a vicious circle: women buy less clips, so producers cater to women less, so women buy less clips...you get the idea. Shadow Lane and a few other spanking video companies learned a long time ago that you can get women to buy vids/clips, nearly as many as men, without losing your male customer base, if the guys are reasonably attractive with lovely ladies *and* the action is hot. Tickling companies will go the same way I believe, but it'll take longer.

I just don't understand this! Nothing turns me off more than a M/F clip with an unattractive male ler. The ler is usually some overweight creepy looking old dude or a skinny awkward looking dude. I think you are being unfair to the tickle producers.
In first place if you look at the top ten stores, today, at least in two e of them, namely Tickle Central, and Silvercherry , the male tickler is the producer, and it seems to be under 40. You may find them unattractive, but they are not creepy old overweight dudes. Those are top class shops with M/F without fitting in the stereotype of the old dude. From the others 10, either the male use a mask, or they are F/F generally.

Then if you look at Tickle abuse, the first in the list, well that says it all. He is the typical shop that does something for everyone; he is the king of segmenting the market for tickling and related activities. In 11 different shops, but specially Tickle abuse 2 (F/F), Tickle abuse M/M, and Tickle abuse (M/F) he covers almost everything. He is close to 40 I think, and he used to be the tickler earlier (again maybe unattractive to you, but just average).
So which are the results from the market? In 50 shops listed at the top seller, by Clips4sale only one, Tickle abuse 2 is on the list, and it seems it will never leave. All the other 10 shops do not make to the 50 top list.
Well the results are unquestionable, F/F sells more. Period.
The dudes in the F/M from tickle abuse shop, are the type of beefcake you would prefer not to have to compete with for a girl attention, and yet, for what you can see in the Top seller list, female do not buy enough to even get in the shop in the list. So I think the products reflect the profile of the clients: males.
Sergio seems to have a preference with the ladies, apparently for his legendary licking techniques, that even Tickling abuse has recognize as to be in a “class of their own”. But his store is on the 21 place, the female buyers do not seem to reward him buying lot and lots of his clips. Ask yourself from the total amount of clips you have bought how many are from Sergio shop?. Females should buy more from him,
So, I think females buyers should buy massively all there is from Sergio shop to shift the market to have handsome ticklers. Otherwise stop complaining!.

Okay, well what about guys who don't like whatever the style-du-jour is in "hotness" these days? I personally hate piercings, tattoos, and a lot of these "smoking hot" anorexic women just don't look good naked, to me - but if I were to post a thread that said "why are all the women in tickling clips bony porn-skanked Cenobites?" I'd get torn in half.

I realize 'doll isn't calling any one specific person out, but honestly, it's no different. She's entitled to her opinion, but I think there's a better way to go about it.

Phineas is right. I won't go so far as to call Doll's original post rude and I certainly don't believe she was trying to be hurtful, but having re-read that first post I do see where her thoughts could have been expressed in a less abrasive manner. There's absolutely nothing wrong with asking to see good looking male 'lers, BUT surely that request can be made without disparaging others, even in a 'general' way. Mean is mean whether its broad or specific, that's a lesson I had to learn myself. And when you put one particular type up on a pedestal, everyone who doesn't fit that mold is going to want their own type acknowledged as equally valid, often leading to arguments and more hurt feelings when the bottom line is that different strokes for different folks makes the world go 'round. If you're a producer, go by how much fun you're having and by your sales, not by a vocal minority calling you old/fat/ugly/not them.

I do think we've had enough of calling people "creepy", and it seems as though all that means these days is "male and over 35" 😎

You want what you're not getting in tickling videos? Just ask, as the person starting this discussion did. I'm sure many tickling video producers read this great web site. Some may respond by hiring some good-looking male ticklers.

I guess if a type of set-up will sell enough to turn a profit, it does not matter how many people would not want to buy it, right? Maybe m/f tickling with a handsome, well-built tickler won't sell as well as m/f with an average guy whose face is off camera. But maybe a title with a "hot male ler" will sell enough to make it worth doing, especially if it will attract people who normally do not buy. Lights, cameras, action!
